FIRE COKER!
11/7/2006 9:15:53 PM
I really hate to do this because the loss of a life is always a tragic incidentbut is this really supposed to fucking surprise me?
11/7/2006 9:16:54 PM
come on kids. lets be a bit serious. it's never a good thing when someone is acctually killed. as much fun as we have poking fun at life in general, it's pretty tragic. I guess you make your bed....
11/7/2006 9:17:17 PM
damn, that sucks
11/7/2006 9:18:46 PM
^^^ you're assuming that the kid was involved in something shady? he's in miami. he very well could've been a mugging victim.remember our freshman d-lineman that was shot twice in a month by a someone trying to mug him? we can't talk shit about this.[Edited on November 7, 2006 at 9:19 PM. sorry for the familymiami has a serious image problem they need to fix right now
11/7/2006 9:22:43 PM
miami university can't do shit about the crime problems in the city of miami and miami-dade county.
11/7/2006 9:23:31 PM
they've had the image problem ever since the early nineties - this is by far though the worst manifestation of it,... even if the player wasn't involved in anything wrong, many people will still dismiss it as just another case of miami football being miami footballi'm sorry it happened though
11/7/2006 9:25:11 PM
holdovers from the FIU game? [Edited on November 7, 2006 at 9:28 PM. Reason : yea]
11/7/2006 9:28:15 PM
dang, i didn't even consider that, but i'm sure the police will atleast investigate that possibilty.
11/7/2006 9:28:58 PM
maybe if Miami wasnt such a fucking joke and world renowned for their thuggery, people wouldnt just shrug this off as "miami being miami"the thing is, they dont care about their image or improving it. the fiu situation reaffirmed that fact.
11/7/2006 9:30:01 PM
If he was stabbed instead of shot, we could've blamed Baraka Atkins

You, sir, are the real fucking piece of shit because you can't see the truth here. Miami refuses to do anything to punish these assholes who think they can go around banging and beating up players and stomping on logos and all the other stupid shit they do. Why should any of us care when their "players" go and get themselves killed over some petty shit?
11/7/2006 10:11:30 PM
Stomping on logos? So what? Michigan State, Florida State, ECU, Texas A&M... hell even Navy .... I've seen them all do it or something pompous just like it. Get over it. Who cares? You have obviously not watched much college football.Beating up players? Are you serious? Any football team would go apeshit if your 180 lb placeholder gets a cheap-shot and kicked in the head. Holy Cross versus Dartmouth? I'm not condoning using helmets as weapons or stomping someone, but fights happen. Yeah, Coach Larry Coker should have suspended Merriweather and Farr for the season and he should have yanked their scholarships. You make it seem as this kid's life means less because of the team he plays for. That's what makes you a piece of shit. Grow up.[Edited on November 7, 2006 at 10:27 PM. Reason : :]
11/7/2006 10:26:09 PM
^ were you there? do you know why the fuck he got shot? I bet if it was Kyle Wright, you'd suspect nothing different.Fuckin stereotypes, a few thugs at Miami and you think that the whole god damn team is running the streets. While you're at it, throw our team under the bus too, we're starting to get just as bad as they are

11/7/2006 10:29:50 PM
dont come into the ob playin that stuff. you get yo but beat.
11/7/2006 10:49:04 PM
^ "you get yo behind beat"Also, do you people seriously think every single Miami football player is a thug? I'm sure several of them are, Merriweather for sure, but I'd wait for the facts with this Pata fellow before I label this crime "gang related" and sprinkle some crack on it and forget about it.
11/7/2006 10:56:37 PM
you people? what the hell do you mean "you people"?!
11/7/2006 10:59:24 PM

11/7/2006 11:02:36 PM

whoa...that makes TWO college football players shot in the state of florida in the last 2-3 weeks...[Edited on November 8, 2006 at 8:41 AM. Reason : at least i think the UF WR was shot, he might ahve just been assaulted]

please be more sensitive, somebody lost their life
11/8/2006 12:05:53 PM
i'm just curious here...but how many people on this messageboard had a handgun in college? better yet, who kept a handgun w/ them so that they could return fire at some potential "robbers".im not saying this is not a tragic event, but it just seems to me there is more to the miami football players. i'm not calling them all "gangsters," but there is something goin on with that team that would make them more susceptible to an attack like this.
11/8/2006 12:14:03 PM
^ and your basis for this conclusion is that one player had a gun on him at his own house? got anything else?
