I need to find a primary care doctor.
I've been going to NCSU's health center for the last 6 years.
I'd like someone in Raleigh, Cary, or Durham (close to Southpoint Mall (work))
Female.
no other preference.

just someone who comes highly recommended.

I was recommended Raleigh Medical Group by my primary physician back home...they also have an office in Cary, Cary Medical Group.

Crescent Family Practice in Cary

Best ever, never had a problem getting an appointment from them and they have a lab in house so they can test for everything the day of.

I go to Blueridge Family Physicians
2605 Blueridge Rd (close to campus area!)
the # is 919 787 3448

Dr. Karen Booth is great!! very happy w/ my visits there. She is extremely understanding and everyone there is very nice (had to see a different doctor one day b/c I just walked in, he was great too!).

I personally love the staff over at Capital Family Physicians - off of Blue Ridge Road. All the staff that I've had experience with are wonderful - and I absolutely hate to go to the doctor. I see Anu Bommareddi (sp probably), and she's great.

Go to your insurance company's website. most have a doctor finder and this will ensure your provider will take your insurance, etc.

^ i've been doing that but they give me a list of hundreds and i don't want to just pick a random one. Raleigh medical group is on there but they're a drive from my house.

^^I live off Lake Wheeler Rd. I work in Durham near Southpoint Mall so i'd prefer a doctor near home or work. Or in Cary (somewhere off Tryon, Cary Parkway, or Kildaire)

I'm on the state teachers BCBS healthplan

Crescent Family is off Kildare close to the intersection of Kildare and Tryon. They're behind the Harris Teeter and diagonally across the street from Waverly Place.

I went with Capital Physicians Group off Blue Ridge.
They were recommended by a friend and I was hoping to find an Indian woman.
Not my only criteria.. but my pediatrition and gyn were Indian. (makes me feel at ease?.. going back to my childhood? i don't know). and I agree with the ideas surrounding Eastern Medical Philosophy.

anyways thanks for the advice. I did check out the ones above and called and asked questions. Some weren't very patient and i crossed them off the list.

I was in an accident 2 weeks ago and need to see a specialist. so i hope they can recommend a good one. a stupid lady sideswiped me on the highway at 70 mph ( i was stopped) so my neck has been hurting.. fun stuff. ($5000 in damages to my poor truck). I've been to Urgent Care for the initial exam and xrays and got fun Rx drugs that make me sleepy but i want to make sure its fine before i sigh anything with the insurance.
