Even though we have little/no chance at a bowl this year after last night, a couple of us are still going down to Death Valley this weekend. We're definitely going to cheer for the Pack, but we want to see the atmosphere down there. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about where some NC Staters are going to be setting up tailgating, going before/after the game, etc.

I went there P-Rivs frosh year where we lost 35-31 (i think) and they were #3 in the country. The traditions were cool and all but Carter-Finley was MUCH, MUCH louder and more energetic during the P-Riv era. The fans were all relatively cool, though not nearly as nice as Buckeye fans...
11/5/2006 7:50:26 PM

11/10/2006 11:54:29 AM
i was in upper deck, row NN [Edited on November 12, 2006 at 3:48 PM. Reason : .]
11/12/2006 3:48:20 PM
I was on row gg. fucking nosebleeds. anyway the game sucked. the clemson fans were the nicest people i have ever met. this old guy gave all of us two beers
11/12/2006 5:06:49 PM
we were on the north side, about the 7 yd line row JJ toward the hillabout 40 of us in red
11/12/2006 5:13:38 PM
think i saw y'all. were you the ones that were making noise when we were on defense?
11/12/2006 5:16:32 PM
we were in section T. pretty good wolfpack fan support for having such a bad year. good job pack fans
11/12/2006 5:19:12 PM
4 of us were there. It was alot louder than CF. I couldnt even hear the person next to me on 3rd down plays. We were in section S, about 10 rows up from the field. Their alumni actually stand up and cheer. Some of them even jump around when that ohhohhhohhh song (you know, the one that the Wake student section with the tie-dye shirts jump around too during basketball season) was playing. BTW, why didnt we have a band? We didnt have any trouble with any clemson fans.[Edited on November 12, 2006 at 6:01 PM. Reason : /]
11/12/2006 6:00:31 PM
yea, we were makin the defense noiseand the "thats another wolf pack FIRST DOWN!" chant
11/12/2006 6:05:19 PM
I don't think it was too much louder than CF, especially over the entire game. It seemed to only get loud at certain parts of the game. And I'm not sure about the alumni being more relaxed than here at CF... Some old Clemson fart's told us to sit down because they couldn't see.Great trip though. Absolutely awesome. The gameday atmosphere down there just about puts CF to shame, especially with the tailgating restrictions we have here.
11/12/2006 6:35:38 PM
As long as Ive been going to Clemson games Ive noticed noon games get the least amount of crowd reaction from people. The GT game this year was crazy and so was the Miami game last year (still the loudest game I have ever been to). And the Clemson oldtimers even tell the Clemson fans to sit down because they cant see. Always pretty funny to me.And that song that Wake Forest uses is called Zombie Nation. I think almost every school uses it for sporting events now.[Edited on November 12, 2006 at 7:57 PM. Reason : ghghgh]
11/12/2006 7:51:11 PM
the clemson fans were really nice...some people i tailgated with got free beer from a clemson guy.nice not to be kicked out immediately following the game.
11/12/2006 8:30:31 PM
That's the difference between having a university that cares about its athletics programs instead of one who doesn't give a shit.
