One of the 2 games of the year. The winner to play the winner of Michigan/Ohio State in the MNC(don't argue this in this thread. it's fact. goto the bcs thread to argue). I'm looking forward to this game more than any other this year. It's going to be a shootout. I can see WVU romping if Brohm is still not as sharp as he can be coming off his injury. If Brohm is sharp I can easily see a 34-31 type game.My prediction: WVU 31 - Louisville 24. Pat White TD with under 6 mins left ftw.Morgantown tonight:[Edited on November 2, 2006 at 12:29 PM. i miss Michael Bush
11/2/2006 12:20:21 PM
fuck both of them. they wouldn't be undefeated in the acc, sec, pac-10, big 10 or big 12.but that being said, it will be one hell of a game and i can't wait to watch it.i'll personally be pulling for "The LOU"[Edited on November 2, 2006 at 12:31 PM. Reason : 2]
11/2/2006 12:30:23 PM
i really think louisville will win and then lose to rutgers who will lose to WVU
11/2/2006 12:31:59 PM
Neither are any ACC, Pac-10, SEC, or Big XII teams. What's your point?^ I'm not going to say Rutgers is overrated because they are undefeated but they aren't as good as their record. I'd be surprised if they kept the UL and WVU games under 21 points honestly..[Edited on November 2, 2006 at 12:33 PM. Reason : x]

I agree, but i think the way the teams match up, my scenario will probably play outif this happens and texas loses to A&M like I think they will, it will be a crazy NC race[Edited on November 2, 2006 at 12:34 PM. Reason : .]

If WVU wins, I better watch out for fires around my houseof course, I live in WV so...
11/2/2006 12:47:57 PM
11/2/2006 1:17:14 PM
BOTH those teams would be undefeated in the acc
11/2/2006 1:22:58 PM
I'm not so sure, but it doesn't matter. They aren't in the ACC. They are in the Big East, which is a higher rated conference than the ACC and Big XII from top to bottom this year. WVU and UL can certainly beat any team in the ACC but it's a pointless question to ask if they would go undefeated in another schedule. Hell, Ohio State and Michigan might have had 1 loss in another conference.. who knows.

I am going with Louisville, I figure (even withouth Bush) that they are slightly better than last year and West Virginia might not be as good...I got it Louisville 34WV - 31

WVU- 28PAPA JOHNS- 20STEVE SLATON.

I don't ever pull for Louisville b/c of their shady tactics to get all of those cheerleading titles. There have been multiple times where State would have won it all if it had not been for Louisville. They have like 28 year olds that "take" one class and are able to be on the team. Some of you may find this petty, but anything that betters NC State (which more national championships by the cheerleading team would do, i mean they're already considered a powerhouse) I support it. Also I remember the way their message boards were when Burke chose us. Also no college stadium should have all of its seats as individual seats. They could fit like 50-60k inside that pizza stadium instead of the 40k capacity they currently have. WVU message board posters have been very annoying this past year or two in terms of their bashing of the ACC, but at least they're a passionate bunch and do truly have one of the top gameday atmospheres and crowds, even if they did something stupid like remove seats from their stadium .Go Mountaineers in this one. WE MUST IGNITE THIS COUCH! [Edited on November 2, 2006 at 2:24 PM. Reason : ]

^yeah exactly why he chose State. but some asshat Louisville posters where all like, "Why the hell is going to NC State, they're nobodies." we aren't exactly setting the world on fire i agree, but we do have some great facilities that are attractive to recruits, great weather usually, good talent, fine academics, and have consistently put players in the NFL since Chuck got here.

Im just going to stay impartial and try to enjoy this game without picking a side.
11/2/2006 2:32:48 PM
MOUNTAINEERS ALL THE WAY BABY!
11/2/2006 2:35:58 PM
I sort of want WVU to win but I'm going out for happy hour to watch the game with a co-worker who is a UL grad. (she probably couldn't name a player on the team but still it's a big game for the school)Frankly, I'm a Big East guy so I just want one of them to play for the Nat'l Championship but I love the way WVU plays w/ Slaton and White so they get the edge..[Edited on November 2, 2006 at 2:37 PM. herbstreit has said that he still thinks no one in the Big East will go undefeated.but as far as tonight, WVU by 10. White will have to throw the ball a little to beat them though so if he can't do that then Lousiville might win. But I think that he can throw the ball well enough.
11/2/2006 2:40:25 PM
I know it's a long shot, but if WVU can somehow find a way to win by 2 or 3 touchdowns, it'd be huge for them.Go Mountaineers!
11/2/2006 2:55:11 PM
it's gonna be a shootout, that much you can bank on
11/2/2006 4:27:22 PM

11/2/2006 5:52:36 PM
49 states are picking WVU, but Louisville is favored... interesting, I am sticking with my Louisville pick
11/2/2006 5:59:22 PM
These two teams are neck and neck....rankings, total offense, total defense.....The only thing that sucks is Louisville will be without their two receivers. That hurts because WV weak point, if they really have one, is on passing defense. Both have poor strength of schedule. You could argue that the best win between the both of them is WVU over Maryland. The edge should go to WV but I'm picking Louisville in a shootout where the score is in the 30's
11/2/2006 6:03:07 PM
I got a small amount on Louisville, and a large amount on over 56.5
11/2/2006 6:07:22 PM
Go WVU! I think it will be a shootout, but WVU will pull it out by a touchdown or two. If they stop Slaton, White will break out and vice versa... I predict White has at least 200 passing yards because I am sure L'ville is out to stop the run.

ESPN's coverage is so awful. NO ONE GIVES A FUCK ABOUT THESE POINTLESS SIDE STORIES
11/2/2006 8:13:13 PM
The title of this thread is false. WV will dominate this game. This is hardly a nat title.
11/2/2006 8:13:19 PM
dont feed him attention and he will go away
11/2/2006 8:14:05 PM
The WVU line blocks exceptionally for what they run. The Sugar Bowl last year Slaton had 2 LOOOONNNGGG td runs untouched up the middle and that UGA D was very good.I'm off work and to the bar to talk baseless shit to the UL fan I'm going with..
