FYI: apple was selling refurbed 2gb nanos with 1yr warranty for $99, though they are sold out.they still have 4GB nanos for $149 though.you should take that $75 and run with it.

Just a suggestion...I saw a nice little mod on the back of an Ipod that would take care of the scratches.The top of the case was taped over at EXACTLY the split between the aluminum and the top.The the person simply stroked the back with one of those green scouring pads.Run it lengthwise and run across the entire back with each stroke. (This is going to take a little while..not a 3-4 stroke process.)It produced a nice brush finish. It really did look good and it was a lot more resistant to new scratches.
