I am suprised that there isn't a thread on this yethttp://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,224738,00.htmlThe obvious goal was to create sympathy from a source that is off-limits to criticism, thus drawing support for a dubious action. When an admittedly partisan commentator dared to question the legitimacy of the ad, the liberal drums of opposition struck up, attacking the man for daring to question a sick man, a sick man that just happened to be pushing an issue they push as being an important moral issue they are right on. It is all reminiscent of John Edward's remark in 2004 that if the Democrats are elected and push through stem cell research, then "Christophe Reeve will walk". Exploitative and wrong. This is a new low for political tactics, and to think, this wasnt even an attack ad. We can only help the truth will surface.Another good article on this, which I'm sure you'll all blast me on and refuse to even read.http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2006/10/25/182613.shtml?s=lh

I don't quite understand how these arguments address the issue. The reason why Limbaugh is getting blasted isn't because he disagrees with Fox's position, but because he claimed Fox was in some way "faking it" when it came to his symptoms. All in all, it was a needless, assholish thing to claim.

Let the blasting begin.

It's good to know that Rush is now an expert on Parkinson's. Maybe he and Dr. Frist can start a practice together. Perhaps Dr. Limbaugh can diagnose his own fatass' obesity next.

Every time someone links to something with Limbaugh I'm surprised by the fact that people still listen to him. You'd think I'd get used to it.

Where's Randy?

Last night he said in Chit Chat that he was banning himself from t-dub. One can only hope.

He was faking it then, too.In fact, Parkinson's is yet another myth created by the liberal media

you're right.muhammad ali is, as we all know, a muslim and a communist sympathizer who refused to fight for freedom in southeast asia.

I can't stand Limbaugh, I really can't. I do want to ask though: what if Michael J. Fox didn't take his medicine, or what if he DID exaggerate his symptoms?I mean, if it came out that he deliberately made it look worse than it was, would it still not be ok for Rush to call him on it?I'm not saying he did, I realize Parkinson's is a day to day thing, but if he did, I think it is ok to call him on it. Also, I think the important thing that gets left out of the soundbites is what Rush said about this particular Amendment. He charges that the amendment legalizes human cloning. If that is correct, the voter's ought to know that. If it isn't, they ought to know that too.Instead, they won't find out until after the election, when the name calling goes away.
10/27/2006 8:30:25 AM
But it isn't correct. Rush, once again, is sensationalizing the amendment without having read the damn thing. But yes, if it did support human cloning then yes the voters should know. But don't you think they already would since it is such a hot button issue?

Or off of them. But that's okay, right Randy?

rush was way over the line with his comments....I dont think stem cell research is the answer to anything...its a nice thought but its a waste of money...that said....how is rush going to make fun of marty mcfly?? that is messed up ....i honestly have a hard time watching that add because its so real and it makes me feel really bad...its just hard to watch...and for rush to make fun of him is pretty whack

^ Agreed. You can attack the message, but in this case attacking the messenger's disease itself is pretty low.

Fox's response on CBS: http://movies.crooksandliars.com/MJF-CBS.movRush is a jackass, and so are the idiots that support him, ESPECIALLY on this issue.http://www.crooksandliars.com/2006/10/26/michael-j-fox-makes-a-fool-out-of-limbaugh/The Quicktime version shows the full segment, which has meaningful words from Fox, but if you MUST, the cropped WMV is available there.[Edited on October 27, 2006 at 2:03 PM.
