Can someone explain how to find the sample mean variance when the sample size, mean and population standard deviation are given?

Are you talking about #2?If so, take the Population Variance and divide it by the Sample Size. That's it.[Edited on October 23, 2006 at 5:47 PM. Reason : Added stuff]

variance is the sum of the squared deviationsso with each sample, find the difference between it and the averagesquare all of those differences and add them up[Edited on October 23, 2006 at 5:58 PM. Reason : jank]
