or who?
10/22/2006 8:37:28 PM
brady quinn is so overrated its sick
10/22/2006 8:38:14 PM
dont forget the cardinalsthey are looking ahead to the draft
10/22/2006 8:38:46 PM
haha, so truei honestly dont know who looks like the #1 pick this year[Edited on October 22, 2006 at 8:39 PM. Reason : >.<]
10/22/2006 8:39:24 PM
im gonna say browns and quinn would be most likely of that bunch. i actually think troy smith should go before quinn though.adrian peterson aint going first after his injury. he has a shot at top 10 though depending on how well he rehabs between now and the combine.
10/22/2006 8:40:55 PM
I think if AP returns, he'll fall victim to the Deuce McAllister/Rudi Johnson drop
10/22/2006 8:42:20 PM
raiders, peterson
10/22/2006 8:42:35 PM
this needs the Sunday NFL Matchup music playing[Edited on October 22, 2006 at 8:42 PM. Reason : >.<]
10/22/2006 8:42:40 PM
well, as a browns fan...i want to end the pathetic sharade that is my lifebut seriously, they may go after Troy Smith with him being the hometown guy. Like the Texans should have done with Vince Young.
10/22/2006 8:42:50 PM
lol, they already played each other this yr
10/22/2006 8:42:56 PM
Calvin Johnson will be the best NFLer out of those three, but I doubt he'll be the #1 pick
10/22/2006 8:44:15 PM
"If the Browns draft me, Im going to ask for so much money, theyre gonna have to put me on lay-away"
10/22/2006 8:44:21 PM
troy is crazy good... but i think quinn has more pro stock in him
10/22/2006 8:47:18 PM
the knock on Troy is his heightdefinately not the case with Quinn
10/22/2006 8:49:12 PM
Assuming Arizona will keep Leinart and Edge, who are they going to get?
10/22/2006 8:54:54 PM

This draft is supposed to be stocked with tons of defensive players... if I were in charge of things in Arizona, and we were picking in the top 3, I'd try to move out of that spot WITHOUT asking for The King's New Clothing, try to stockpile some more picks (maybe 1 or 2 mid-rounders, along with swapping firsts), and address the offensive line and defensive shortcomings.
10/22/2006 10:01:08 PM
yeah I agreeswap your one high, for two mid-round picks, and grab the best 2 defensive playersI dont see why they would need Offense, other than O-line
10/22/2006 10:09:12 PM
^^ perfectly done
10/22/2006 10:12:09 PM
Not that I know a lot about the Card's defense, but they had five turnovers against Oakland and six against the Bears. What are they missing?
10/22/2006 10:13:22 PM
TacklingIt's nice to be able to make the big play (INT), but not when you sacrifice the small play (Defensive stop).[Edited on October 22, 2006 at 10:51 PM. Reason : ]
10/22/2006 10:50:25 PM
the inability to keep teams "on" the hook
10/22/2006 10:51:31 PM
assuming he comes back healthy, Peterson will be the #1 pick easy.If not, then it would come down to need and who has the pick
10/22/2006 10:54:31 PM
10/22/2006 10:56:44 PM
But the cards are pretty much set at the offensive skill positions. They have a (supposedly) good RB, a good future QB, and 2 fantastic recievers. They need linemen badly, on both sides of the ball, if they get a top 3 they definately need to trade out.Raiders or Browns should take a QB, but I'm still not sold on Quinn or Smith.I haven't seen Chris Leak on any of the first round mocks, they could be a steal for the Raiders in the late first (if they trade) or early 2nd round. If they get to the mid first round, I think they should look at Brian Brohm.
10/22/2006 10:59:40 PM
Quinn and Brohm will be, by far, the best NFL QBs in the draft. It's not even really close. They have the size, arm strength, and mobility. I don't see any other QBs in this draft that are close honestly. Smith and Leak are good college QBs but I don't see them translating into the NFL as well...[Edited on October 22, 2006 at 11:06 PM. In other news, it seems that fat black guys can't coach.
10/22/2006 11:05:57 PM
so true
10/22/2006 11:33:14 PM
i'd love to see the dolphins get brohm, but the way they keep playing, they might try to sneak up on that #1 overall
10/22/2006 11:54:38 PM
i agree, they are acting like they are called the mets
10/22/2006 11:55:31 PM
^^^^thats good stuff.
10/23/2006 12:00:10 AM
JAY DAVIS FTW
10/23/2006 12:08:55 AM
brady quinn is awful. He pads his stats vs shitty defenses and typically throws half his passes behind his receivers.adrian peterson will stay another yearJohnson will fit in well with the TitansI see the Raiders going with Brady Quinn, the cardinals with Joe Thomas (OT), the Lions with Leon Hall, cleveland will prly get the 2nd best QB like Brian Brohm or someone
10/23/2006 12:12:21 AM
I don't know, it just seems like AP would come out knowing he is 1st round because his family probably needs the money.
10/23/2006 12:14:02 AM
^ also, he is very wild with his running style... he could get injured seriously and never make a dime if he stays another year.
10/23/2006 12:15:32 AM
no way he goes top 10 now1st rd probably, so still not the big big bucks like after a healthy season
10/23/2006 12:16:03 AM
Id also like to say how fucking stupid Mel Kiper is and how i crush his projections year in and year out, to to brag about myself, but to show that someone with 99% less resources can be better than some self proclaimed expert
10/23/2006 12:20:05 AM
10/23/2006 12:22:26 AM
^^You're an idiot and your mock drafts suck.Didn't you get drunk and forget to do yours this year?STFU
10/23/2006 12:27:20 AM
aha yes i got smashed and forgotbut it was good until then i still crushed kiper
10/23/2006 12:28:43 AM
http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/sub/mockdraft.htmlSeems like a pretty good draft projection, updated often it seems. They messed up some flashing ad and it makes the whole second half of the draft flash, I had to highlight all of it to be able to read it. Anyway, they project Tank Tyler #25 to the Saints
10/23/2006 12:31:38 AM
i hope Ainge doesnt start hearing shit and gets a big head and think he is ready to go out after this year (he isnt), but been hearing other people say it more and more because he has ideal size for the NFL
10/23/2006 12:39:50 AM
i think you are safeno way he's a first day pick at this point
10/23/2006 12:42:14 AM
I'd love to see the Texans nab Peterson, and get the rb the media claims they "need" instead of mario
10/23/2006 12:42:35 AM
i really think the texans will pick outside of the top 5 this year
10/23/2006 12:43:22 AM
maybe they could get bush afterall,
10/23/2006 12:45:40 AM
yeah, if he gets another year under Cutcliffe (who might not be there, might be getting a head coaching gig somewhere again) and continues at this pace he could be a Top 10 in 2008
10/23/2006 12:48:07 AM
n/mI thought you were talking about Bush[Edited on October 23, 2006 at 1:49 AM. Reason : 2]
10/23/2006 1:46:23 AM
ohh yeah, I forgot all about that Bush kid
