The dvd player in my computer only seems to play videos at super fast forward. Its been so long since I've played one that I can't even remember if it used to do this or not. How do I fix it?

I've got the dvd player and the cd burner. I can play music and games using the cd burner slot, but obviously not a dvd. Basically the dvd player is useless

if it's the exact same in multiple programs then it's probably hardware related - does a music cd work in the dvd drive?

I had this problem once before... not sure what was goin on. (<-- I'm useless)
I think I ended up ripping the dvd's that had that problem, then playing from my HD. But mine only did it with certain dvd's. ShrinkTo5 should rip it just fine.
