Anyone have this guy? Any insight on his midterm? Any leftover notes from when you had him?

I loved his class. Back when it was a large room with several grad student assistants. Instead of tests or homework, it was just one short paper a week. Low stress class with interesting material and plenty of opportunity to express your own thoughts & takes on the material.I guess going back to a regular sized classroom probably sent him back to a normal teaching format. But that one semester was great. For any written answer make sure to start with an original thought. Then express your arguments in a formulaic manner.

From what I remember there were like 5 identifications and the essay. Do you get to use a cheat sheet? The identifies were pretty specific things he mentioned in class. I think one of them was a character, but the rest were social terms and stuff like that.[Edited on October 20, 2006 at 12:09 AM. Reason : .]

Does anybody know to what extent the quizzes count toward the final grade? He said that the grade was very much "up to the student" but does anybody know something more concrete about the weight of the quizzes vs. tests vs. papers? Thanks!
