Anyone have either of these instructors? I have a choice between Sherwood in the afternoon or Ramakrishnan from 6-7:15 pm MW...not feeling the night though.

One of the suggestions I would make in this course that you should go to office hours. Plus, I suggest you listen more to what she has to say than write notes. The notes should come from the book which you should look over before class. That works for ramakrishan. I don't know about Sherwood.

I would take Sherwood. He's a little eccentric but knows his shit and is the co-author of the book.In reality . . . it is the same material in both classes, uses the same book, should have the exact same webassign HW, will be a "common test"

I had both - Sherwood for 205 and Ramakrishnan for 208. It took a little while to get used to Ramakrishnan and her speaking, but I thought both were good teachers. I felt Sherwood did explain the material a little better and in a little more in detail, but that might have had to do with the 205 curriculum compared to the 208.I don't think you can lose either way. I felt prepared for the common test with both professors.
