SO then what was wrong with that statement?
10/18/2006 9:40:54 AM
estimated revenue of 28.6 million annually? with a 45.00 tax per oz? shit - i bet they make north of 100 million a year with all the people that would travel out there (and those that already do)

Where do you see the word "average". I guess you just lack critical reading skills.adding "can" did not change the meaning, imo.[Edited on October 18, 2006 at 9:46 AM. Reason : .]
10/18/2006 9:45:19 AM
????the first statment implies that it always costs that much, and not possible to get any for less.the second conveys that $300 plus is the higher range of the spectrum.[Edited on October 18, 2006 at 9:48 AM. Reason : .]
10/18/2006 9:47:23 AM
....imo, it is giving the a high end estimate by using the word "upwards", and clearly it says depending on quality. If they wanted to say average they would say "average", if they meant weighted by volume sold they would say that. If they meant that's the lowest you can buy it for they would say, "it cost no less than 300/oz".but we digress. Let's get back on topic here.[Edited on October 18, 2006 at 9:59 AM. Reason : .]

TWWWE ARGUE ABOUT ANYTHING
10/18/2006 10:22:07 AM
arguing semantics is especially T-Dubish.
10/18/2006 10:24:19 AM
How about they list all the different kinds around and how much each costs for 1/8'th 1/4'th ....... to say 5 pounds. Then they should include any friend discounts one might be able to get. That would surely be simpler than saying
10/18/2006 11:03:20 AM
^AHAHAHAHA
10/18/2006 11:11:45 AM
Again, if i said that product A sells for upward of $1000, that implies that you cannot get product A for less than $1000.....that $1000 is the floor.my overall point is that street value of illegal drugs is inflated in gov. estimates.
10/18/2006 11:19:02 AM
I don't see how the statement could be any more succinct.
10/18/2006 11:21:19 AM
by simply adding the word can.
10/18/2006 11:23:18 AM
^^^ well, it benefits them to do so.By either a. trying to scare folks away from buying (not that it works)b. trying to convince everyone that all drug users are spending $texas to support incredible habits and increase negative public opinionc. justify that when/if they decide to sell it whatever taxes they put on it regardless of how extreeme are less than market and thus perfectly acceptable. And probably make the problem seem larger scale than it is, to ensure that they can still get funding for all their anti-drug programs /war on drugs.[Edited on October 18, 2006 at 11:25 AM. I wonder what societal/cultural implications this will have for the US. If you fill out an application for a job now and it requires a drug-test, will marijuana be included on the "allowed" list if it's legal? I still remember Jesse Ventura saying in an interview at one point (paraphrased): "If marijuana became legal to purhcase, would you go out tomorrow and buy it? I wouldn't. Just because it is legal doesn't mean I'll purchase it."[Edited on October 18, 2006 at 11:44 AM. Reason : .]

I could see police from bordering states waiting for people to cross state lines and pulling them over to do a search.
10/18/2006 11:46:08 AM
except, as already noted, we arent laid back like the netherlands. our govt would go in there and shut down that shit.

10/18/2006 12:02:19 PM
^the problem is the stigma attached. Drinking is socially acceptable, as of now pot is not.....it'll take a while to reverse that.My guess would be that if it was legalized in NV, companies could/probably would still choose not to hire you if your whiz quiz came back positive for THC.
10/18/2006 12:07:50 PM
^ I find it funny how you went back and edited every post you made, trying to make yourself look not so dumb. But in the end, couldn't even succeed at doing that.
10/18/2006 2:08:56 PM
no, actually I just deleted the part referring directly to pricing......and since when did 2=all?I still stick to my guns hoss.[Edited on October 18, 2006 at 2:23 PM. Reason : that one was for r in refer, just so you don't get your panties in a bunch]
10/18/2006 2:22:04 PM
so i got the tax part but how will the determine sale price...will they base it on current market value?
10/18/2006 8:16:10 PM
oooh I get weed cheaper than you, let me brag about it on the internet. lollercoaster

yeah if t he government regulated it i can see a quarter being like 15 bucks and it'd be like top notch quality
10/18/2006 11:48:40 PM
Adults should be able to smoke pot if they want to, and weed should be legal if individual states decide it should be. The federal government should butt the fuck out. The Tenth Amendment is unambiguous on these rights, and the recent Supreme Court holding concerning marijuana was one of the worst ever--next to the eminent domain holding.
10/18/2006 11:56:46 PM
so noen told me in like 15 years weed would be legalis this one of those times he is talking out of his ass or is that possibly accurate?
