Did you have to take additional coursework outside of your BA in order to take the CPA?My boy is looking into the program but said something about needing additional classes after his bachelors in acct to take the CPA and I don't remember anyone doing anything like that? And that it also required an internship of 2 years?

NC's requirement is 120 hours to sit for the exam, and 2 years working under direct supervision of a CPA. if you get your masters it substitutes for one of those years

it's 150 hours to become licensed, 2 years public accounting exeperience and a passing grade on all 4 parts of the examthats what many pursue their masters in accounting, to meet that requirement of 150 hours.I majored in accounting...sometimes wish i would have continued through grad schoolNCSU has a great MAC masters program... the highest CPA pass rate for any public school in the state actually.. right above 50% [Edited on October 12, 2006 at 9:16 AM.
