Ibuprofen

(And on days where I haven't taken any Ibuprofen, I take an Aspirin before bed.)

paracetamol (for some reason, not sold/allowed in the US).

works like a charm.

(brand name: panadol)

I really need something easily attainable, is preferably cheap and works strong and quickly.

So far Excedrin, Tylenol Rapid Release, Advil don't help in the least.

And the ice cream looks potentially therapeutic. Good idea, thanks to you.

My roommate gets the Advil LiquiGells. If he's having serious pain issues, he chews them up. Says they work that much faster that way.

BTW, it's likely that the usual dose of two is what's not cutting it. That's 400 milligrams of ibuprofen, and in prescription form it's available all the way up to 1200. Most Motrin prescription pills are sold in either 600 or 800 milligram form.

IF YOU HAVE ANY LIVER OR KIDNEY ISSUES OR YOU ARE NOT THAT BIG THEN DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER DOSING THAT HIGH UNLESS A DOCTOR HAS TOLD YOU TO. Hell, for safety's sake, don't ever dose over the maximum recommended dose on the label unless told to by a doctor. And I sure ain't no doctor. Some folks do have adverse/allergic reactions to ibuprofen...or end up with bleeding ulcers in their stomach.

BTW, Excedrin and Tylenol are the same thing. Except that Excedrin contains a small amount of caffeine.

^And Excedrin just works better. They don't need science to determine that. It just does!

A nurse once told me this cocktail:

2 advil
2 aleve
1 energy drink

The caffine in the energy drink makes them work better, and it's not too much for your body to take so long as you don't do it daily.

I took paracetamol in india, it works really well. I took some back, but it's all gone now.

Of course, in india...percoset, vicodin and oxycotin are OTC if you have the cash

I've got a hurt back and have for about 2 1/2 months now. They told me to take 2, 3 times a day instead of getting another anti-inflammatory.

the rx was most likely for a higher dose of naproxen. the rx ends up being a shit ton cheaper.

all the rx is is just a higher dose. You take the exact same thing as taking 2 or 3 at a time. Get the off brand and it is cheaper or just as cheap.

Aleve is naproxen sodium. Naproxen sodium is not generic, its just the raw term without a brand.
