For some reason, when I a website opens a pop-up, such as a music player or a video player, I am not able to change the size of the window and most of the times, the size is so small, that I am not able to access the controls. There are no scroll bars either. When I open the same with IE, it works fine. Any reasons? Fixes?

do you have tab mix plus installed?

There are options for this in the brower options dialogue. Poke around and see if any of it fixes your problem.
