great job tonight. my seats are right across the field from the student section and you guys were awesome. looked a lot like the Schaub - Rivers battle a few years ago.
10/6/2006 12:34:48 AM
for those of us who couldn't make it. how did the stamps go? was the line HUGE?
10/6/2006 12:35:35 AM
my stamp was off my hand by the end of the first half. but nobody cared about me going to my section in the end zone. someone else needs to comment about 7/8 though. As far as the NEZ goes, it was great, as far as the ink goes, mine was gone pretty quick.Students were awesome tonight. Even the kids behind us that had no idea what football was learned when to cheer and when not to tonight.
10/6/2006 12:37:44 AM
I sat in SEZ and there were no problems, actually at the end of the game the cops let all the students lean over and high five the players with out peper spraying them...i think they worked good...
10/6/2006 12:42:03 AM
i think its funny how the whole stamp thing actually did what they've been trying to do for a while: get students in the stadium before the game startsknowing the type of students that go to state, i bet they'll still rebel against it regardless of how well it worked out
10/6/2006 12:43:37 AM
didnt use online tickets but it looked like it worked well. The endzones were full before kickoff so i doubt the lines were too long.[Edited on October 6, 2006 at 12:45 AM. Reason : nt]

i personally thought it was a good idea. it gets the hardcore fans in the better sections.
10/6/2006 12:45:48 AM
worked great. The line was quite long before gates opened, but went down within 15 minutes. Sat in 7 and it wasn't crowded at all and was actually full before kickoff. The ink was horrible. 3/4 people next to me had it almost gone by half time without doing anything to it. It just spread out with their sweat and rubbed off at the slightest touch.
10/6/2006 12:46:35 AM
wasn't it supposed to be poisonous sweat-proof ink?
10/6/2006 12:49:41 AM
I had a bad experience with the stampsapparently the people can't fucking count because they gave too many people SEZ stamps and it ended up flowing over into section 115. A lot of students got booted when people with real tickets showed up...luckily it ended up my group was in Sydney Lowe's area and he told us we could stay and got better seats up top.[Edited on October 6, 2006 at 12:51 AM. my stamp came off after I sweated my nuts off in the bathroom.
10/6/2006 1:10:46 AM
my pants now have an ink stain on the pocket, im pretty pissed about thatwhat happened to super sweat-proof ink that you couldnt rub off?
10/6/2006 1:13:09 AM
I know some people that were still kicked out of their section because of over crowding
10/6/2006 1:16:48 AM
i actually think it worked well.....hats off
10/6/2006 2:51:28 AM
Coming from a cheerleader...... Thanks to all you students in 7 and 8 tonight. Those of you who got there early and got the good 7/8 seats, thank you! The crowd as a whole was really into it tonight, thanks alot to having two whole sections of students interested in cheering at the game.Side note: The wave will not be successful trying to go through the football team parents (section 5ish where it kept dieing every time) You folks down in the North Endzone need to start it, and get it moving under vaughn towers around to the student section and then maybe the parents will pick up on it!
10/6/2006 2:59:50 AM
i was in NEZ and the students kicked ass there too. this was the loudest i've heard carter-finley.it was awesomei thought the new ticket system worked very well[Edited on October 6, 2006 at 3:02 AM. Reason : ]

the ink wasn't the one we wanted yet...but it will be different for the next game...other than that, the lines/gates worked really well...we can handle 100 students a minute, and after the first 15 minutes people were generally just flowing through...really impressed with everyone and the excitement, because that game rocked (and we only had 500 students left to go through the gates at kickoff, unlike the normal 3000)
10/6/2006 8:05:45 AM
the hand stamp thing worked finei was impressedand it was loud as fuck in that NEZ!w00t
10/6/2006 8:16:11 AM
man when you can hear WOLFPACKover and over through the TV you know it's loud as fuck in the actual stadium
10/6/2006 8:18:34 AM
the crowd was electric last nightit was beautiful
10/6/2006 9:17:57 AM
I got to the gate about 6:30 and had absolutely no problem getting a seat, I was on about the 6th row in the SEZ

Stamp thing actually worked fine, despite my thinking it would have kinks. Sections 14 and 15 didn't fill up til the middle of first quarter tho. I've never heard Carter-Finley that loud for an extended period of time. IMO, the crowd really helped win the game...us being so damn loud caused them to burn a bunch of timeouts and allowed us to run out the clock at the end. We also finally started to get loud during the huddle instead of waiting until they got to the line, which was nice.
10/6/2006 12:28:42 PM
Last nights crowd was as loud as any i've heard in RBC Center... and it makes a HUGE difference that there is no roof on Carter-Finley
10/6/2006 12:35:51 PM
i sat in the SEZ and it was awesome. I got in the stadium about an hour before kickoff and got a seat right above the tunnel and got to high-five all the players when they entered. i didnt have any problems w/ the ink either, actually, i scrubbed my hand until it was raw this morning and that shit is still showing up. the only thing that sucked was the ppl who got booted out of their seats right across the aisle from me. they didnt know it wasn't student section and nobody told them until it was too late and they totaly lost there seat, they should make it more clear which seats you can sit in and not wait until kick-off and boot a die-hard from his seat!
10/6/2006 12:49:42 PM
carter finley was rockin' last night. We really had an effect on weatherford, 'specially when they were backed up in the NEZ.
10/6/2006 12:56:30 PM
the towels were really awesome as well. I liked those a lot, 10000 times better then the big cardboard chik-fil-a things they gave out a few years ago that everyone made paper airplanes out of and threw into the back of people's heads.
10/6/2006 1:02:05 PM
^and the field lol
10/6/2006 1:05:03 PM
Good job on wearing red guys! From watching on TV it was so obvious who were students when they camera panned out. Big sea of red...at least in the student section. Now if only everyone could do that!

i liked the towels too, maybe they can do that for any of the night games. I don't really know about the day games though. I truly hope everyone comes back saturday for the wake game since it is pretty big for us. I also hope that the person who posted that the true fans got the good seats realize that is not the case. Part of college football is tailgating. Always has been always will be. I wasn't going to wait in line early and take away from that experience to get what some would call SUPPOSED better seats. I have sat in section 7 for everygame for 3 years. I sat in section 14 for the first time ever last night the 2nd row. It was just as loud. I think I will still tailg8 until 20 minutes before the game like i always have, and hopefully get in 14 everytime.
