Can a 3.5" USB case support a laptop harddrive?

Well it looks like the adapter is almost the same price as an enclosure, so i might just get the 2.5 inch enclosure.

I have one, but it also plays music and movies stored on the 2.5" hard drive on any attached TV or VGA monitor.

I'd want $60 for it.

^ i've been looking for one of those...is it by any chance one of those that you can recharge and transfer information from a memory card without the use of a computer?
