Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights issued a press release titled "Mark Foley Plays the Catholic Card"

Foley "was molested between the ages of 13 and 15 by a clergyman," Donohue, addressing Foley in the press release, asked:

"[W]hy didn't you just smack the clergyman in the face? After all, most 15-year-old teenage boys wouldn't allow themselves to be molested. So why did you?"
