When I play a movie in media playing I get an error downloading the codec that keeps the audio from playing. Could tell me what I need to do.

first off have you downloaded the needed codecs for the file... i suggest getting a program called gspot (not a joke, honestly) it detects what codecs are required and will tell you if you have them. Then find a download of the required codec online.

you could just download the latest version of the K-Lite Mega Codec Packhttp://www.codecguide.com/it'll even install the quicktime and realplayer alternatives, so you don't have to install the actual bloated crap.this is part of my default installation anytime i setup a pc.
