i am looking for a (very) inexpensive office to lease for my business. all i need is one room and if the price is decent, a second room (sort of a suite, i'd like a private office with a space for a small table/conversation area to meet with clients), and a shared bathroom with the rest of the building is fine, i carry sanitizer at all times. i was wondering if anyone knows of a decently priced office building in the west raleigh area? i don't want to work out of my apartment anymore, i am too tempted to sit on my ass and smoke pot and play with the cat all day instead of working... plus i hate to have to meet clients in coffee shops. it would be so much more professional to have a non-apartment mailing address, not to mention i really don't want clients knowing where i live - i've had some super-creepy ones. i've found one office for around $550/month, with a very spacious office and a smaller, but still nice sized meeting area. electricity is included, and the office building isn't that old, maybe 1970's. actually, i'd prefer a more historic building, i think it would add to the decor of the office. i love the buildings around glenwood south... oh, and i'd also need to be able to paint the walls.any suggestions are extremely appreciated!

i have a real estate guy but i would love some extra input. i did find a shared space with 10 other artists for $210/mo but it's 10'x10'. it is downtown in a great location, and would be a great atmosphere to help the creative process... man i am so excited to get out of my damn apartment.

I think there's a place on Blue Ridge next to the Blue Ridge Pharmacy called YourOffice USA.They have lots of small office suites with shared bathrooms and a secretary that can direct people to your office, mail packages for you, etc.

actually, i was just thinking... if there are any software developers or someone in the IT field that's NOT graphic or basic web design (as in you do the backend portions, not the layouts or graphics), i'd love to team up with someone else to share space and refer clients back and forth. we could get a suite with a common area and each have an office? just a thought.

My company used to rent an office on Hillsborough St near Gorman. The address is 3410 Hillsborough. We had a small one room place for $300/month. It was in an old house owned by an architect who also runs his business out of the building. He also owns the building next to it which I think is 3414. He is a really great guy. I am not sure if they have space currently (they will have a sign out front saying so if they do).
