roguewarrior, we typically don't distribute third-party applications like anti-spyware on a widespread basis. drunknloaded is correct that the NCSU Anti-Virus site is the online location to get Symantec AntiVirus from the university. If you want anti-spyware software, I'd recommend looking at:* Microsoft Windows Defender - http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx* SpyBot Search & Destroy http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html.If you need any specific assistance, feel free to send me a PM, and I can help further.

go to the Hillsborough building and pick one up at the Helpdesk on the first floor. They got stacks of them
9/30/2006 9:28:40 PM
or go to the freakin bookstore computer section

Well, since he said he's not living in Raleigh this semester, I thought I'd point him to some other solutions in the mean time.
9/30/2006 9:32:31 PM

^^thats what this topic was about...
10/1/2006 5:20:22 PM
I don't see you having asked to have a CD mailed to you yethad you already posted a request to have one mailed, I'd have PMed you already to see if anyone had gotten back to you about this.Especially since I'm going to the post office tomorrow morning anyway.
10/1/2006 5:37:15 PM
Typically in these sorts of cases, the Helpdesk will first ask for a SASE, but they'll be glad to mail one out.As far as updating, you can download daily updates without having to specifically use LiveUpdate. Symantec, like most vendors, makes definition updates available for download:http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/download.htmlGiven your circumstances, I agree that you may be better off trying to download these things elsewhere to a USB disk or burn a CD on another machine, if possible.

you are retarded so you deserve to get lots and lots of spyware and viruses....its science[Edited on October 1, 2006 at 7:33 PM. Reason : ds]
10/1/2006 7:32:33 PM
well...can someone please mail me a copy of the disk...
10/1/2006 11:35:53 PM
no because you have yet to provide a legitamate need to the mailing of a disc. I bet you are just trying to give it to non students or something gay like that.
