xbox is hacked with and X-BIT chip. Everything was working swimmingly until I recently tried to update XBMC. I made a small mistake when I did the upload and seem to have totally screwed something up. I have since tried to go back and fix the problems, but I am experiencing a new issue. The xbox seems to be running REALLY REALLY slow. Like I loaded up a slayer disc and it took nearly 10 mins for it to go from the end of the boot animation to the screen of the Slayer disc. And any movement was hyper slow. I also reverted the dash back to evox (from XBMC) and it is doing the same thing. Its just taking like 30+ min to go from animation to the menu, then menu is impossibly slow. When I FTP to the box I am able to see all of the drive partitions, however, I am not able to get the F drive (where all the apps, games, etc.) are to list. It seems to go into it, but shows no files. I didnt delete anything from that directory, I know that. (Even tried to create a new folder in the F dir and it wouldnt allow it, also nothing could be transferred over)Any ideas? I really want to get this fixed.

I'm not Bill Gates but it sounds like the hard drive is dying, I've had two die in my laptop and it always follows pretty much that same pattern.......still boots but takes FOREVER, like 10 minutes to even pop up the start menu once the start button is clicked, seems to go into the drive but doesn't show any files....put your ear to the xbox when its taking forever to do something and see if you hear a clicking noise kind of like the hard drive trying to access something over and over
