wld 112, general welding practices......i was thinking about taking it.....anyone every done it? i mean hell, a class there is only around $50 total so what the hell? ehh?

it aint a whole lot to it for mild steel, stainless and aluminum are a bit trickier, just thumb through a miller user's manual for some basic instructions and dick around with some scrap, its not hard to pick up

id say that for 50 bucks you could sure as hell get a lot more out of a class quicker than you could just 'dicking around with stuff' or trying to find a job with a welder...so i say go for it, but thats just me.

^that's what i did. bought a $200 job from harbor freight and some scrap metal and taught myself.

its not a bad class, but really just get a welder and scrap metal. The worst part about the class is all the dumb motherfuckers in there who don't understand things and have to have them explained over and over. also, you don't really learn that much, and it seems like its mostly classroom and not so much hands on
