Brent Shaeffer was pulled during Ole Miss's loss to wake forest.http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews/sports/15599945.htm"QB Brent Schaeffer, a touted junior-college transfer, has been abysmal, completing just 46.5 percent of his passes, with three TDs and five interceptions. He was benched in the second half against Wake."If there's already a thread talking about this, it doesn't have a title that would indicate as such. Maybe we got lucky that he didn't transfer here.

Ole Miss is worse than we are.If he was afraid he couldn't beat out Marcus Stone, then why would we want him?He just isn't the same since he left UT I guess.

i think that Southern Miss is literally the best team in Mississippi (just going off Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Southern Miss)that said we played like shit against Southern Miss, they shouldnt have beaten us that badbut Ole Miss has kinda sucked since Eli left

I know there are quite a few folks that are going to chime in about this since they hated BS so much.

^^I agree completely. I bet Southern Miss could pound both Miss State and Ole Miss. Both of those schools are a joke in the three major sports (except maybe Miss State in baseball).[Edited on September 25, 2006 at 1:49 PM. Reason : dd]

Ole Miss is a baseball power as well. Both Ole Miss and Miss State have outstanding baseball programs. Its not uncommon for 10k to be at a mississippi state baseball game.

Well historically, USM isn't really a big step below Ole Miss or Miss St. USM actually is 14-12 historically vs. MSU (but just 6-18 vs. UM) (and a 5-5 record against us). They have finished in the top 20 (19th & 13th) twice over the last decade (compared to once for us, once for MSU, once for UM)
