i am having problems because i am using the logitech play link, and in the middle of games i keep losing connection. we have the eithernet cable going from the wall to a router and then to the play link and his computer. We made the IP address and mac address the same for the xbox and PC, cause we dont know how else to do it. so everytime we play xbox live, we have to unplug the ethernet cord from his pc. First question, is there a better way to wire it, or a better gaming router to use. and secondly does anyone else have problems with internet at university village?

any advice

well thats your problem right there. you can set up the xbox's ip and other network configurations right in the dashboard menus (you can set it as static or automatic, setting the router to use DHCP).

as to why it quits in the middle of games when the computer is unplugged, im not sure. you dont need any special "gaming" network hardware though, so if you do get something else just buy something normal.
