How would I go about doing this? I'm tired of neighbors slowing down my network and getting free internet on my dime. I'm pretty much a novice when it comes this. Any help would be appreciated!

if only they had some sort of instruction manual that came with routers - ooooh ooooh i know - they should maybe even put them online on their website for people that lost them - i bet this is a million dollar idea

even if someone wanted to help they really couldn't because you didn't post what kind of router you have and then to configure it on your pc you didn't mention operating system

Use a pre-shared key. Your router manual and google will tell you the rest. Also, turn of SSID broadcasting and change your default password.

p.s. You deserve the hate ^ is giving you.

The TWC installer did not leave a box or manual with the router, and there is no brand name on the thing. The only thing that I can tell you is that it's black and the model # on the FCC sticker on the bottom is 60740EUW. I am running XP Home.

Edit: after searching the model # i've found the company's website. no manuals and the "Support" tab is not even a real link
