take it off of the windshield vent and put it to feet/frontal.my 240sx and my dad's frontier (also a nissan fyi) both run a/c whenever you put the vent to windshield, even without pressing the a/c button

Nissan, for some reason, decided that once you run your compressor it is going to continue to cycle when you have the fan running until you restart the engine. I'm assuming they do this to prevent "smelly AC". When you run the fan on outside air and direct it to the windshield (and maybe other times) it will run the compressor. I'm assuming they do this because they figure we are too stupid to run the AC for defog purposes when it's cold out. Some people install compressor shutoff switches in their Nissans to turn the compressor off whenever they want.

Well i normally just press the off button and everything would shut off, but it wont stop now so i dunno.

oh you have a 92, I read it as 02, because, well I'm an idiot. I know they do that now.Have you tried pulling the AC relay or fuse?
