I think the transmission has been dying for a while on my 95 325i, really really bad torque in reverse (does not have the power to go up an incline on reverse). So I tried to back out this morning uphill cause neighbor had a moving truck blocking in front. So after trying to back out unsuccessfully a few times, the next time I turned it off and tried to start, the engine wouldn't start anymore. It's not a bad battery, the engine just won't start. What seemly started out as a transmission problem now becomes an engine problem?Any ideas as to what is wrong with it?

is it low on gas? it could be low enough that the fuel pump is unable to pick any fuel up since the car isn't on level ground.

It's on about a 15 degree incline with the front facing down hill.

nah, it has about 5 gallons in it (14 gallon capacity). Should I try to put more gas in it?So according to your theory, I somehow burned all the gas that the fuel pump can reach while I tried to back out this morning, now because it's on an incline the fuel pump can't reach anymore gas?[Edited on September 16, 2006 at 9:13 PM. nah, you have enough gas in it if you have 5 gallons but that's going by you know what you're talking about too.but then again, it wouldn't hurt to put some in it. you never know with that german shit.[Edited on September 16, 2006 at 9:24 PM. Reason : -]
