1: a buddy of mine got a 2000 montero. when it hits 1800 rpm upon accelleration it loses power for a sec then kicks back in. wtf could cause that and how do we fix it. no biggie just annoying2: another buddy of mine got a 95 tahoe, old, yes, but got new engine, tranny, torque converter, alternator blah blah blah, anyway, his abs dont work, as soon as you press the brake semi-hard it locks up the front. the fuse is good, he got new brakes and rotors about 6 months ago but i dont think that had anything to do with it since abs went out about a month ago. so is there some kind of sensor that knows when the brakes are locked up and it engages the abs that that could have gone bad, or is it some other problem, and do tahoes even have an abs warning light cuz it's not on. overflow shit posted only 1/2 the thing, sorry for repost, somebody delete the other one[Edited on September 15, 2006 at 7:32 PM. 1. probably the throttle position sensor,2. probably the notoriously shitty abs computer which cost $texas$ to replace, so just tell him to learn how to pump and release
