wal-mart has phillips gold-plated cables for like $20. they're not superb like monster cables or anything, but they are good and cost about a qurter as much.radio shack sells that same cable for $80 by the way. I was just at the one by tiger-direct last week.[Edited on September 16, 2006 at 12:31 AM. Reason : but the radio shack web site has it for $160... hmm... maybe i should buy some and sell on the web]

how are the average quality cables gonna deteriorate digital signal? i could see it happening with analog, but with digital it is either 0 or 1, nothing in between

less interference, and more sheildingany offers?
9/16/2006 1:13:36 AM
so there gonna be more 1 and 0's , or there gonna be dropped 1's and zeroes? no trying to hate on your thread, a legit queston i've been wondering about for a while

man to be honest with u i have no clue, all i know is that u wont find a better hdmi cord. the cheaper ones, i dont know the difference other than the shielding and gold ends on the monster ones

my first statement was sarcasm, digital signals are not as susceptable to interference like an analog signal, as long as the 1's and 0's arrive at the destination it doesn't matter, especially with error checking...

9/16/2006 11:53:27 AM
I was just suggesting that you purchase yours there when you sell this one... what price are you looking at getting for the HDMI-DVI?
9/16/2006 12:03:16 PM
like 60-70 i paid well over a 120 for it, it will work well for hooking up PC to HDTV thru hdmi
9/16/2006 12:09:24 PM
If it's still in the package and brand new, why don't you just return it?
9/16/2006 2:56:27 PM
