1,318 - $20 (student discount) and $179 (ipod rebate for students), and you are getting the thing for 1,118, brand new. Not to mention that apple is about to update the Macbook line with faster Core Duos.

go to craigslist, but i doubt even anyone there will buy it for that much, when in a month or two they can get a better one, brand new in the box, for the same price.

^^not when its pointless...office yes, virus protection no...and your price is high, even if they cant get student discount, its a marginal difference with your price, not enough to warrant the loss of warranty time for most people. Maybe youd get that much on ebay, but the 20ghz ones dont go for much more than 1100 on ebay. I mean, theres always some sucker, so keep hoping.

God damn you are thick. Just because MS office and Norton are not of value to you, it doesn’t mean it is not to somebody else. Not everybody here is a student and not everyone has or wants pirated software if thats what you are insinuating. If you are looking for barebones apple laptop without apps then by all means go buy it elsewhere, just don’t defend your opinion here. I don’t care about it and I don't get it? What do you gain by undermining someone’s sale thread? Some people are reluctant about large purchases through ebay, some are not. Price is not stated as firm initially, so obviously I was ok with some negotiation. If you offered something, maybe I would have agreed.

you obviously do care, as you are getting very angry. And obviously your price is high as you havent sold it yet. I mean you can defend it all you want, but it is simply not worth what you are asking. Im was simply posting my opinion as to the value of your computer, until you got pissy, now im just pissing you off.

and, you can buy this computer without the amazingly costly( ) software for $950 refurbished, with a year warranty included.

^it has 1 year warranty that it comes with. i dont know if that is part of service care or not. you could have asked a question in full sentence, not in keywords. im sorry i didnt respond to you right away.

^^of course i CARE and of course im getting pissed off, because you are undermining my sale with reasons that pertain to you, maybe not to others. if that is your opinion, keep it for yourself and get a good deal if you think it is. refurbished computers from sites you cannot see or check out what is wrong with them, much less return them if you find out they are faulty. also, provide me with a link for a macbook with software i have with the price you listed. anyone is welcome to see this laptop, use it and decide whether they want to pay for it or not.

it had a 1 year warranty....then you bought it....and refurbished products from apple look the same as new ones and come with the same 1 year warranty/optional 3 years. and also, this is tww, flaming douche bags in classifieds is the thing to do

1. you didnt address what i said about refurbished products and whether you can look at them before you commit to buy. (ex. buying from random websites)

2. you have not provided the link i asked for that states the prices you are claiming

3. my laptop has 11 month warranty and optional 3 year warranty

4. tww noob that signed up in 2004 cannot and does not know what classifieds are about. flaming anyone is immature and stupid and you just proved it yet again.

thanks and have a nice day.

Noen,

Thanks. It is norton for mac and I just installed it as a piece of mind. I'm not knowledgeable enough about macs to give you full reasoning whether and how effective norton is on mac. I guess since norton made one for mac osX i would assume there had to be a reason.
