so i downloaded a .rar of a few short .avi's and 90% of them worked fine, but about 5 of them whenever opened, instantly crashed WMP and explorer. also whenever rightclicked on to bring up the menu... they crash exlporer.... opening them in any other program will crash it an explorer instantly. i figured it was an isolated issue, but i just downloaded another avi today and it's doing the same thing.

is this a driver issue? or are the files corrupted?

My guess is corrupted or incomplete files.

sometimes when you download porno the files are corrupt

which is why you should always get the par2's

either that or just run it thru divfix

Download VLC media player and see what happens.
