Many people believe it is not necessarily what diet you have, but more of how consistent that diet is. If you look at a lot of the people who live that long they usually say they eat the same sorta thing every day for the past 50 years or something. The body has a nice way of adapting and chances are if at 80 they started to change their diet and eat healthy they might have killed over and died right then who knows.
