8/31/2006 9:17:09 AM
Digipic 1000 + HD DVR & Road Runner = $114i think about canceling my service with every bill, but that's not possible with football season coming up
8/31/2006 9:30:32 AM
RR + Basic Cable = 29.95/mo
8/31/2006 9:31:47 AM
I was on a promotional package with RR/Basic Cable for ~$50/month, when that period ended it jumped up to $94/month without some sort of notice. When I saw my bill I cut out the cable TV. Somehow I still get it.
8/31/2006 9:34:09 AM
i pay a whopping 125/month there has to be a way to get this cheapertwc is a racket, a monopoly
8/31/2006 9:34:51 AM

8/31/2006 10:02:56 AM
Too much - I'm going to cancel my cable tv service and just stick with road runner and switch over to sat for my television watching.

^ how does that break down?are you just paying $29 for RR, and getting basic cable on the line for "free" (since as long as you have RR, they can't really turn basic cable off, right?) on the TWC page it says for a'la carte pricing, basic cable is $10-13 and RR is $45. if you go to the Order Services page, it says the $29 for RR is just introductory,
8/31/2006 10:59:35 AM
it's introductory, unless you call them after the intro period and tell them you want to stay with the 29.95 a month. And yes, basic cable comes with RR, unless they put in one of those gay inline filters, which are easily misplaced.
8/31/2006 12:03:09 PM
We have the Digipic 2000 (with two premiums and on demands), RR, 3 DVR Boxes, and 1 regular cable box for $130 (probably plus tax)
8/31/2006 12:25:02 PM
8/31/2006 12:50:35 PM
just signed up....Dicipic 1000 w/ DVR & Roadrunner. $100 for 18 months, then regular price.
8/31/2006 1:06:26 PM
8/31/2006 1:17:29 PM
RR + Digital Cable + DVR + wireless networking for two computers = $96.00 per month
8/31/2006 1:27:44 PM
^^ that doesnt appear to be a very good deal. i was thinking...damn 18 months is a long time...then i noticed youre not getting very much for $100
8/31/2006 1:28:37 PM
8/31/2006 4:09:21 PM
8/31/2006 5:50:43 PM
Mine was "misplaced" (not installed originally) until some guy showed up and threatened to cut it off unless we bought a package w/ DVR. It was cheaper than the ~$90 I pay now for RR and Cable, but the the cable line in my complex is old and they won't run a new one for me to get all the channels. TWC = 1, Your boy = 0...I feel bitch slapped
8/31/2006 5:57:55 PM
If you go to the cancellation dept of twc telephone support they can give you 12 months of RR for 29.95 / month. NOT the billing dept, the cancellation dept. ask politely, tell them you are interested in switching to earthlink, but like your current RR service...
8/31/2006 6:08:03 PM
Digipic 1000 + DVR + Road Runner + basic cable in the other rooms = $85
8/31/2006 6:56:23 PM
^ that's what i just signed up for today

8/31/2006 9:02:30 PM
BTW TWC has a cable modem lite package for a littel cheaper that they don't advertise and you have to call to get. Still not as good as DSL lite. My Up/Down is about 750/750.
8/31/2006 9:13:28 PM
Digipic 4000, RR, 1 DVR, 2 digital boxes = $125.49/mo for a year. After the year, don't know what I'll do yet.
8/31/2006 9:17:55 PM
are any of the other packages better for movies than HBO package? Its alright but alot of the movies they show dont seem that great.
8/31/2006 9:21:06 PM

8/31/2006 9:24:17 PM

8/31/2006 10:18:07 PM

8/31/2006 10:31:33 PM

9/1/2006 9:18:59 AM
^ i think the extra HD channels cost $7ish and it does include ESPN HD. Will any away NC State games be on that channel this year?http://www.timewarnercable.com/CustomerService/CLU/TWCCLUs.ashx?CLUID=107&chkCLUCookie=1&Zip=27606&Image1.x=43&Image1.y=5[Edited on September 1, 2006 at 11:51 AM. 9/1/2006 12:22:34 PM
fuck TWC...when I had my HD box "installed" they wouldn't let me just pick up the box and drop off my old one. Instead I had to have a tech come out and give it to me. So I had to wait two days just to schedule a time of "between 8 and 12" The install day comes around and the guys doesn't show up until just after noon and is here for 45 minutes because he can't get ahold of anyone to "activate" the box. Looked at my bill today and there was an $18.95 fee for the install. I called them up and complained and got the install fee but they wouldn't drop my rate any. I'm about to call them back when I see people getting the same service as me for $40 cheaper. Hell, I wouldn't even need it for a year, I'd be happy for 6 months as a compromise since i'm not a new customer. It's nice how companys will dick over people who are generous enough to stay with them.while thinking about it, I have Digipic 100, RR, HD Suite and HD DVR and am paying $122, what would a comperable Dish/DSL package cost?[Edited on September 1, 2006 at 4:15 PM. I've got Comcast internet, and I have to pay $58/mo for it because I don't subscribe to their cable service. It's $58/mo w/o cable, or $44/mo with basic cable which is $14/mo. But I subscribe to the super DirecTV package which is another $80 on top of that.I can't remember what my bill was when I had TWC in Raleigh, but they never would let me try to reduce my bill and stuff. Comcast lets me, though. I'll call and threaten to cancel, and they'll give me anywhere between 3-6 months at about half off.
9/1/2006 4:22:18 PM
^^ call Larry the cable guy (no joke) at 919-612-3180he works for TWC's promotions dept and yes, he has the fat deals.[Edited on September 1, 2006 at 4:25 PM. Reason : ]
