well if u are serious- You cannot get a Piranha however u can get an aerowahna which is a relative and is also viscious and carnivorour. They are expensive as shit though and you will want at least a 50 gallon tank.good fun tossing goldfish in with them though

They are illegal to own anywhere south of Maryland. Really boring fish when they are not feeding. Arowana,Pacu,Oscars or any catfish are all good @ turning other smaller fish into glittery gobs of goo. I Have a 24" SA Redtail catfish that consumes 30-50 Goldfish in a matter of minutes. It has also consumed a 20" Arowana and a 14" Oscar. Keeping any of these fish in anything smaller that a 75 gal tank is asking for trouble. I have mine in a 265 gal tank and still have troubles keeping the water quality. Big carnivorours make huge waste that will tax even the best of filters. If I were you I would start with an Oscar they are probally the easiest to keep.[Edited on August 27, 2006 at 2:32 PM. Reason : I am looking for another Arowana if anyone knows where there is one say 30"-36" drop me a PM]

Oscars suck though- Discus fish are also fun. Tossed on ($$$) in a 150gal tank with my aero's and it was.....well...... interesting to say the least

That was an expensive snack. I had $texas in that aro of mine.
8/27/2006 2:37:00 PM
^^what kind of discus do you have?
8/27/2006 2:44:57 PM

8/27/2006 3:25:22 PM
I love asian arowana.
8/27/2006 4:33:06 PM
do any of those fish have razor sharp teeth?i only want fish with large teeth to rip the flesh off some animals.
8/27/2006 6:25:07 PM
I like the video of them on Discovery channel jumping out of the rivers and picking birds off of tree limbs[Edited on August 27, 2006 at 6:27 PM. Reason : >.<]

Learn to spell the animal's name before you get it turd. Besides, they're hard core carnivores in the tank and it would take a massive filter and tank to break down their waste.
