Just was wondering if anyone had this teacher before. Switched out of BUS 350 with Reich and moved into this one. Any help needed. Thanks

not a bad class. He knows what he is talking about and if you like law than it is very interesting. There is a lot of information to learn

He does know his shit, although the class can get boring at times because it's all powerpoint. I also thought the class was kind of easy. All my tests were multiple choice and pretty much straight off of the powerpoint presentations.I also hope you don't have a problem with midgets.

any time he does air quotes " " with his hands, write down whatever he says. if he says "hint hint" write that down too. Just study the power points closely and you shouldn't have an issue.I got an A.

Thanks

if you have the book its a good idea to keep it open in class and follow along. i think he did case studies inside it too. but if you could care less about a book you really won't need it

schanz is the man, he's like 3 feet tall, literally, but he is the coolest guy ...enjoy his class and make sure you read the notes alot and you'll be fine...also, listen to his "hint hints"

Ditto on the "hint, hint"'sIf you read, going to class is kind of a drag. Sometimes the tests can have tricky questions so if you don't understand something in class fully go through and read the fine print on the subject.

schantz is awesome... his examples are great and tests arent too hard. he's my favorite teacher at state.
8/29/2006 10:57:34 PM
^test questions come from powerpoints? or more reading the book...

i love schantz though i wish he didn't draw out examples so much, i think he spent 10-15 min explaining the difference between civil and criminal law with tons of examples. prolly a very good thing that he does that, just kinda makes the class drag along

9/17/2006 9:32:35 PM
On Monday, Sept 25
9/18/2006 10:28:58 AM
so is the best way to study just to read the book and powerpoints?
9/24/2006 7:11:03 PM
how else would you study...that's all there is
9/24/2006 7:42:19 PM
Definitely know all those hints hints. He mentioned at least fifteen things that are gonna be on the test like arbitration, mediation etc.
9/24/2006 8:21:51 PM
For all those who had this class already- does he pull specific questions from the cases in each chapter? Just wondering because alot of them are 2-3 pages and i dont want to read them if he doesnt ask questions about them
9/25/2006 4:18:14 PM
no...just had the test it was easy...all from slides
9/25/2006 4:22:43 PM
has he mentioned when test #2 will be?syllabus says "tentatively" oct 25
10/18/2006 12:28:06 AM
Listen carefully. Schanz can say pu- words. For example...he says plublic everytime he means to say public. Random, I know.
10/18/2006 12:54:19 AM
^how is that at all useful or relevant
