I have a cingular phone and have had my current phone for a year and a half. starting yesterday morning, johnston county 911 have called me about 8 times asking if everything was ok and saying they had a hang up call. I just tell them that I live in raleigh for one and secondly that I have not called anyone on my phone. I have called cingular twice, but the dimwits i talked to for them didnt help me at all. Anyone here have any advice as to what I could do? Im getting pretty annoyed and Im sure johnston county 911 is also. Any help would be appreciated.

That has happened to me before too. Two times that I remember where 911 called me and asked the same thing and I had never called them.

yea.. if it was just a couple of times i wouldnt worry but 8 times in 24 hrs.. thats not a conincidence or anything. i was just wondering if anyone could help

i was trying to call my friend one time and i got some random person and my phone was getting calls that were for another phone

but it got fixed after a few hours

im not gonna get arrested bc my phone hasnt sent any calls out, i went online to check and it didnt have any listed. and cingular has never been a problem for me.

they may have fixed it.. its been about 12 hrs and they havent called me back.. so we'll see.
