Ok guys, I need some help. I am pretty familiar with how to wash and detail a car, and have it come out looking great, but I'm at a loss. I parked my car under a Sycamore (I think) tree the other day, and when I came out the next morning, there were these little brown/black spots all over the hood/roof/back of the car. I'm not sure if it's sap, or tree skeet, or what.I washed my car immediately, just using some turtle wax soap, and the little spots started to come off when I scrubbed at them, but they didn't just wash right off, and there's still literally hundreds of them on the car. I went and got my clay bar kit, and tried to get them off that way, and still no dice.I was thinking about finding a degreaser to mix a little in with the soap, but I know that will strip the wax off and i'm not trying to fuck up my paint in the process. You guys got any suggestions? I can take pics of the lil spots if needed, too.

you might could try to wash it with very diluted dishsoap, of course you will have to rewax your car.

i think there is a product specifically for getting tree/bug goo off that won't hurt the paint....can't remember the name though.

again, not sure of the name, but its a clear liquid in a clear spray bottle, and it smells like cherries. after you spray it on, your tires look wet for a few days.

Clay should take those right off..... as well as most of the wax/ sealant you have on there.

FTW: Go to "Majestic's" off of Wake Forest rd.... It is a distribution center for Majestic soaps, compounds, waxes, etc... I had this same issue and brought the car to them. Guys who work there spent like an hour and a half trying different stuff on it until we found something that worked well.... they are good guys and definately know their shit.I spent about $60 while I was there but it was very well spent

Dont see much of them around here but you might try an automotive car wash that has the hand held pressure washer guns. Not recommended for a car with shitty paint or paint peeling obviously.
