8/17/2006 2:11:13 PM
there was a story on CNN about this dog who was in the gas for 30 minutes and survivedhe was foaming at the mouth, and very very sick.
8/17/2006 2:12:10 PM
the worst part was when he was talking about overstuffing the crate to save on gas and just putting as many dogs and cats in there togther as he can fit with them all fighting and freaking out and some of them still being alive after 40 minutes[Edited on August 17, 2006 at 2:13 PM. Reason : t]

8/17/2006 2:22:30 PM
^no, he's just a moroni'm pretty sure most dogs enjoy being pampered and living 15+ years rather than being killed in the wild by the age of 3 or 4 while trying to hunt for their dinner
8/17/2006 2:28:42 PM

It's not that bad, just different.Society tells us to have pets, not nature.

Bob Barker?
8/17/2006 3:01:52 PM
By the way, thats not real. He posted that from an email.
8/17/2006 3:02:27 PM
how about instead of spaying your pets.....BE RESPONSIBLE ENOUGH TO CONTROL THEM
8/17/2006 3:35:45 PM
“Society tells us to have pets”It’s a symbiotic relationship. They get food, shelter, and attention; I get stress relief from petting cats and to mspaint them. There’s no way society is telling me to do that.
8/17/2006 3:50:07 PM
It's more like society has taught us to have pets. And I'm not saying it isn't good for the animals to be pets, as well as it can be very good for the owner as well. [Edited on August 17, 2006 at 3:56 PM. Reason : clarification]

You arent going to be able to reintroduce pets into the wild without more "playing god" to breed certain natural instincts back into the
8/17/2006 7:21:59 PM
Depends on the type of pet.
8/17/2006 7:50:53 PM
Well I was mainly talking about dogs, lots of cats would do fine.
8/17/2006 7:52:43 PM
That was hard to read.

this thread has made me realize what najeeb's problem is.he's impotent, in every sense of the word.

My friend's family has 8 cats, and they bitched at us for about 3 years until we got our dog spayed (onyl so we could adopt another dog). it's not like we let her run around wild and get pregnant everywhere. same with our cat. he was an outdoor cat, and my dad is old fashioned and said he didn't want to invest money in something that was probably going to get hit by a car. which it did.
8/17/2006 10:31:53 PM
an outdoor male cat that is not fixed most certainly impregnated other catsI think the problem stems from those old fashioned ideas. My stepdad told me stories from when he was a kid and was forced to put kittens in a bag and sink them in the river because there were too many cats on the farm. Today there are a lot of voucher programs out there to help people with limited finances spay or neuter their animals. I think anyone who has a pet can at least afford or set aside $20 to get their animal fixed..if not they shouldn't have one.[Edited on August 18, 2006 at 2:44 PM. Reason : d]

You People
8/18/2006 3:38:39 PM
Honestly, why don't we just cap the dogs in the head?I mean, isn't carbon monoxide supposed to be like a "fall asleep and not wake up" type of death. If whatever we use is cruel and hurts them so bad, why not a .45 to the back of the skull. It would be much easier and humane. Shit, if you paid me enough, I'd do it all day long.
