im pretty organized, or at least i like to think so. however my PC isnt. is there a program to organize all my photos and media files so i can transfer them over to my new computer??

one option is to do a search for "*.jpg, *.jpeg, *.gif, *.bmp, *.ai, *.tif, *.bmp, *.avi, *.asf, *.mpg, *.mpeg, *.wmv, *.mp3, *.wav" etc and then select all and copy

unless everything is labeled special, the search option is your best bet

maybe try this -
install Picasa and tell it to scan your entire hard drive for pictures, then see if you can export them all out of picasa into a specific folder.

then install iTunes and tell it to "keep music folder organized" and "copy files to itunes folder when adding to library", and have it scan your whole hard drive. it will copy all music into the itunes folder.
