I know that digital cable with DVR and Road Runner will run you about $115 a month after taxes and fees and stuff.
8/15/2006 3:32:50 PM
I have digital cable, dvr, and road runner, $85 a month for the next 12 months. Ron quit though, I heard.
8/15/2006 3:36:19 PM
Dude that sucks! I hate Time Warner Cable! I just got cable yesterday and I definitely did not get that deal.
8/15/2006 3:38:08 PM
I have dig cable with hbo, no dvr, and rr for 87/month
8/15/2006 3:39:17 PM
Is that after all the taxes and fees and stuff?
8/15/2006 3:40:42 PM
yall dont really need to pay for internet, there is a device called a "repeater" that allows you to get free internet from up to like 500 feet away...i was told its about 80 dollarsfor the sake of simple math 12 months at 40 a month for internet is 480you are saving 400 dollars the first year, and 480 every year thereafter
8/15/2006 3:41:20 PM
i have digi cable, dvr, hd box, hbo, and road runner for ~95 a month after taxes and fees for 12 months. if you are starting a new account, you should be able to get a similar deal.
8/15/2006 3:42:40 PM
yes@KT, man I wish I had known about this repeater, but I did set up my own wireless..
8/15/2006 3:42:48 PM
If your roomie wants DVR, make him pay the extra difference for it, then.
8/15/2006 3:45:01 PM
^^^Yeah, my account isn't new. I just moved from a place that had free internet and I only had basic cable, so I had to get RR and I decided to go ahead and upgrade to the digital cable with DVR. Like I said. I hate TWC. However, they have me by the balls because I love watching TV and I don't wanna deal with satelite shit. Damn you monopolies!!![Edited on August 15, 2006 at 3:46 PM. 8/15/2006 3:46:35 PM
It's not a monopoly, you listed the other choice and said you didn't like it.Even though its cheaper, with better customer service, and better programming.Yea, Directv blows
8/15/2006 3:58:32 PM
^It's a cable service monopoly. Tell me one other CABLE service that is available in the Raleigh area and then you will convince me that it is not a monopoly.
8/15/2006 4:00:56 PM
if you had been following the news you'd have seen that the telcos are going to be competing with the cable companies for landline tv service very soon - the closest that it's rolled out to is in charlotte but i'ts in a few cities so far - just have to give it a little time
8/15/2006 4:03:57 PM
don't public works/utilties get to be exempt from the whole monopoly rule? Bullshit if you ask me.Oh and how much will cable cost you?Arm & LegFirst BornYour Soul...any of the above

We would probably have Satellite, but there's too many trees in our yard. So then, we get shafted with TWC, which goes out like crazy. We were going to get Roadrunner, but we still have our Verizon DSL, because 89% of the homes in my neighborhood have it, and the more people who have it, the slower it is. It also goes out in our neighborhood, a lot, too.

8/15/2006 4:16:40 PM
^dude, you didn't know that was gonna happen?
8/15/2006 4:22:37 PM
hell i have digital cable/rr for $87/month with taxes and we're debating on getting DVR....we're not a new customer either..try talking to the retention office
8/15/2006 4:51:41 PM
^^ Call that guy. He hooked me up. Roadrunner, Digital cable, HBO, and DVR for ~$85.[Edited on August 15, 2006 at 5:01 PM. Reason : s]

8/15/2006 6:05:20 PM

8/15/2006 6:10:17 PM

8/15/2006 6:31:24 PM
come december i'm hoping to get internet, hbo, dvr, and cable for around 90 a month...is that possible?
8/15/2006 6:37:01 PM
We had digital+roadrunner+hdtv+hbo and it cost $130We're looking into Verizon for internet, phone and directv when we move to durham
8/15/2006 6:38:45 PM
we have Roadrunner wireless, Cable, HBO, DVR for $85 after tax locked for 12 monthsDVR is awesome and definately worth $7/ month for anyone who hasnt had it before and considering getting it
8/15/2006 7:15:10 PM
^second that. I've had my DVR for less than a week and I've already recorded tons of shit. It's also pretty cool that you can pause/rewind live shows as long as you stay on that channel, can use PIP (also with a pause feature), and record 2 different things while simultaneously watching a 3rd.
8/15/2006 7:21:01 PM
i just signed up for TWC yesterday and i have regular digital cable, 1 dvr and internet and its like 115 a month or so. im mad if someone got it for 85! not fair at all!
8/16/2006 10:00:57 AM
DVR is the best thing since cable
8/16/2006 10:03:27 AM
^^^ooo, i'm going to have to try that! we've run into some problems because we're recording two things and want to flip the channel over to a 3rd.but yes, the DVR is definitely worth it. i love going away for a few days and then coming back to all of my favorite shows.
