One of my best office parties was 42nd St. Oyster Bar.

We had 4 hours of open bar and about 1 hour of food. They set up tables and did the food buffet style, but we had servers stopping by the table for drink orders.

sullivan's = best service ever.
5 people went there for my birthday in june, it was the BEST service I ever had in a restaurant, very attentive and polite waitstaff, not snotty at all, and very knowledgeable. Out total bill was only about $275 (we didn't have any alcohol or anything) and my dad tipped the waitress $50.

yes--do sullivan's and get a banquet room...and hey, ask for Sandy to be one of your banquet waitresses while you're at it

Get David as one of your waiters while you're there, he's on fucking point. Always sends a card after every time me and a broad dine there.

The law firm I work with has theirs at the Borden House. It's a historic site downtown. They had wine and food catered, and the house was decorated beautifully. I don't know how you go about reserving it though.

50 dollars on a 275 tab is not a good tip at Sullivan's... especially if you had "fantastic" service. $55 is straight 20% great service deserves more

yeah, but it's not like she had that much work to do. besides, i'm in the "waitstaff people shouldn't bitch about tips" group. i used to work at a restaurant, i know it sucks.
besides, my brother is the executive head chef in a restaurant/brewery he co-owns, so i have an appreciation for wait people, knowing it goes to the busboys and sometimes hostesses too. Plus, I said best Service ever, not best food. The food was pretty good, and they could have not taken almost damn 45 minutes to get the food out.

^AHA, you tried to brag about high rolling daddy and now you're stuck bitching about a restaurant that before you said you enjoyed.

Bridget, stop being a bitch. As soon as I saw you responded, I knew it would be a negative comment. Seriously, get laid or something and be nice for once.

You're a bitch all the time and it's annoying, and you're doing the same thing you claim I am doing. It's like all you do is hunt out for people to be a bitch to. Just leave it be, shit.

you should have your office christmas party hosted by the gals of TWW dressed in skimpy santa's outfits and in a whip cream pie wrestling match...

[Edited on August 31, 2006 at 10:37 PM. Reason : and you can dress as santa, if i can be the kid in your lap..]

How the fuck am I bragging?

And, check my post history, I don't hunt for people to be a bitch to. Sometimes the obnoxiousness is just so in my face that I gotta react. Everybody else is all classy and cool and not reacting...not me.
