I am trying to embed a midi file in Excel without having it point to anything on my computer. In other words, I want to have the actual file in Excel so that I can email the file to someone else and they can play it also. The closest I have come is dragging the file from Outlook, but this requires the other person having Outlook open to play the file. Any other kind of dragging doesn't bring the file into Excel.Anyone know how to do this?

Can you make it access the web and host it on your student account? But that might be flakey as well if they have their filters set to block that kinda of content.

INSERT | OBJECT | MIDI SEQUENCE

froshkiller: when I do that it simply creates a link, so when I send the file to someone else it can't find the soundIm trying to make one of those Excel quizzes where you have to fill in the blank of whatever the title of the midi is...there are a bunch out there with pictures, logos, movies with faces cut out
