Anybody know of any good places to camp? It doesn't even have to be beachside. I'm just looking for a place to stay for cheap that's within an hour of the place. I'm trying to be able to spend < $20 here.

Last resort, I could always just sleep in my car somewhere and hope some cop doesn't bother me.

Help plz.

Haha, no BS responses in the first thirty minutes and my thread is moved to the lounge.

Alright, looks like I can stay at one of those public park places for a little less than 20. I'm sure the availability is suspect though.

What ARE the laws regarding sleeping in the car. Can I sleep at any parking lot where there isn't a trespassing sign?

Sleeping in your car and sleeping on the beach are misdemeanors.

I would recommed Myrtle Beach State Park. The sites are in the woods and the park is right along the beach.

I can't give you a personal opinion of any place because I live here and have no need to camp 5 minutes from my apartment, but the link above lists all the places available.

I've always stayed at Lakewood but it's not <20 and it's a family campground. I love it there.

if you go to Huntington, bring a bucket of mosquito repellant.
