Ok, so the cable jack on the back of my 27" TV is dying and I want to know if there is any type of converter that will allow me to plug to coxial cable into it and have it convert to the RCA cables and THEN plug it into the back of my TV. It costs so much $$ to get a TV fixed its almost not worth the trouble. Any help?

Does the cord go straight from the wall to your TV, or does it go to a box and then a cord goes from the box to your tv?

You can use a VCR if you have one. Plug cable in to VCR, plug VCR to TV, turn on VCR, turn on TV, set TV input to VCR, use VCR remote to change channels.

its color coded...pretty simple- if it doesnt work on the first try put them in the opposite slots

Ok, so my VCR has Ant In and Ant Out (of course the cable would go into Ant In, I assume) but it only has 2 RCA cables that come out...the red and yellow I believe...what is the other white cable usually for, and is it important?

Are you really a physics major?

The VCR has either yellow/white or yellow/red/white ports on it, and the TV has the same (one of the 2). If either device only has yellow/white, then you only need to use the yellow/white cables. Hook the VCR output to the TV using the color-coded cables, then just plug the cable line in to ant-in on the VCR. You will probably have to go to the setup menu of the VCR and set it for cable TV. If the TV only has yellow/white, in the VCR's setup menu, look for an option for mono audio output (as opposed to stereo).
