Saved a baby/mini white albino bunny from a side of the road "fruit stand." Poor thing hardly had enough room to turn around in the cage. No food or water. Thank god there was only one. Very cute albino white baby. The owner of the fruit stand bred the rabbits. He told me some go to homes as pets. I didn't want to hear any more about the others. When I questoined how the rabbit was being cared for he said a lot of people question him. I asked him how he would like to live in a cage where he couldn't move & he said they are just animals. Urghh I was so mad. Pleae PM if you are interested. I will post pictures tommorow~

I've named her AprilApril & my cat Marley!By the way she is very sweet. Loves to be on your lap and pet. Very tolerant- can touch her nose & mouth. She is not phased by my 2 golden retrievers or obviously my cats. Working on litter training her!!! This pretty girl will be an awesome pet!

saved it eh ... sounds like his ploy worked if you paid for it Seriously though while I don't want/need a rabbit some people might want to know if you have a cage or supplies

Yes, ActofGod that would be correct "if" I paid for her. I am going to spoil her today with all of the supplies- hay/treats/chew toys she could ever want. I am currently feeding her pellets and veggies. Right now she is staying in a dog crate. There are some cheap cages on craigslist and depending on the amount of time I have her I may go ahead and get one. It will be easier to clean than a wire dog crate. She is doing very well with litter training (while in the cage, mostly inside the box). I had her out hopping around and her litter box was also out. She jumped in it to use the bathroom! What a smart cookie! I am amazed at how well she is doing with my 2 goldens & cat. The dogs are overly excited to have her in the house. My golden will not let her head stay dry by continuely giving her lots of kisses. This sort of relationship is definetly not true for all dogs!!! And I do not leave them unattended. She was so cute on the way home to Raleigh from Kinston. She sat on my lap the entire time and let me pet her. Some of my co-workers have children and are talking about her with their spouses. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Let me know if you want to take a cute little bunny into your home![Edited on August 8, 2006 at 10:09 AM. Reason : more]

Danielle, I searched New Zealand & looked at yahoo pictures. Yes! She looks exactly like that. After reading about the breed I see they are the rabbit that is bred most for meat. That is sooo sad! It also says it is what most people think of as the origonal easter bunny. I am glad to know the breed because it says she will be 11lbs- good to know to let someone know what size cage to buy. I got 3 emails today from people interested in her on craigslist! Very exciting!
