I like it. Nice lookin
8/6/2006 7:41:44 PM
I knew they would bring it back, just didn't know when. I'm glad too, Camaro's are nice cars.It looks good!

Gas prices aren't such a big concern with one of these esp. if they have the 4-cylinder deactivation system in the V-8. If I didn't already have one I might buy one. In fact I may still sell mine for a brand new big-engined V-8, but with another kid on the way, I probably better just stick with what I have. Its not as hot, but its almost paid off.

^^69 rally sport [Edited on August 6, 2006 at 7:46 PM. Reason : ,]

^^^Agreed, I am a fool for the 69. But some/most of the 90's were nice, 80's weren't great...[Edited on August 6, 2006 at 7:47 PM. Reason : ]

I agree, I love 67-69, then I couldn't stand them until 90s. This one is light years ahead of the previous models though and is so much hotter than mine could ever be. I think its light-years ahead of the Mustang too, which I will say looks damn good in my opinion.
8/6/2006 7:53:09 PM
i like 70-71 best
8/6/2006 8:39:35 PM
bring back the Trans Am
8/6/2006 8:41:13 PM
FUGLY
8/6/2006 8:46:15 PM
I'll take one.
8/6/2006 8:49:03 PM
at least it ain that ugly fuckin thing they had in the 90s
8/6/2006 8:54:45 PM
challenger w/ superhemi ftw
8/6/2006 9:02:21 PM
hood is to high and the windshield too low, but overall it has a nice general shape to it. Those wheels are a bit large too.
8/6/2006 10:26:45 PM
Looks KICKASS
8/6/2006 10:53:53 PM
i had hoped that gm would modify that concept's main grill, but i guess not. i can't stand how the top corners look. i think it completely fucks up the overall look of the front end. other than that, i love the design. the low roofline/high doors look awesome! in conjuction with the arched rear wheel wells, the concept has a really menacing stance.
8/6/2006 11:07:08 PM
fuglylooks like they went the same direction everyone else did[Edited on August 6, 2006 at 11:20 PM. Reason : did]
8/6/2006 11:20:28 PM
the perfectionist in me wants to work on the front end just a little bit...the man in me wants to hit the gas pedal as hard as possible by the way... this is OLD. i had to do it to someone else for once. the pics have been out for a year or more now[Edited on August 6, 2006 at 11:26 PM. Reason : ]
8/6/2006 11:24:55 PM
can you imagine the mayhem if they offer one with an LS7?
8/6/2006 11:27:27 PM
^^ the thread wasn't about the pic, it was about the announcement to be made on thursday, had you read the fucking article.
8/6/2006 11:35:30 PM
don't get your panties in a wad... i know you took all that time and trouble to copy/paste and so everyone should take the time to read your article...and, no, i didn't
8/6/2006 11:43:14 PM
i like the 67-69 models, too, but how can you hate on the '70 with the split front bumper?
8/7/2006 1:05:15 AM
looks a lot like the Mustang
8/7/2006 1:16:16 AM
8/7/2006 1:17:36 AM
back in the day a lot of people would not have recognized the differences either...just believe a huge fan of camaros when i say that they are very very different
8/7/2006 1:27:03 AM
That is the concept cars look too. They haven't announced what the production model will look like. Obviously it will be pretty much the same, but they may make some adjustments. Besides, as with most concepts, they usually put massive wheels on them, and I'd be very surprised if they came equipped like that from the factory.
8/7/2006 6:55:48 AM
i say bring back the trans am and anyone have an idea of what this is gonna cost when its out on the market?
8/7/2006 8:53:45 AM
I say the Firebird ain't happening. Why you ask? Because the market is too tight and the Firebird ate up more of the Fbody budget. Firebirds always cost more than Camaros, sold like maybe half as many as the Camaro, and had so many more choices associated with it that cost more money from the budget. Think, it had more bumper options, hood options, rims, 3 V-8 options to Camaros 2, etc. With the GTO and Solstice in the Pontiac stable right now Pontiac is being positioned more as the luxury or adult vehicles from Chevy and probably doesn't have the room for another RWD performance machine.I would like to see it, but with the General as a company losing so much money (10 billion last year) its not going to drop into two cars that are seriously going to compete with each other.
8/7/2006 11:02:14 AM
it looks good, doesnt look like a mustank u guys are retarded. every car resembles some car in some way. since that's the case ill say it looks a lot like a corolla. retaadz
8/7/2006 11:24:11 AM
it looks like it weighs 5000 lbs.
8/7/2006 6:15:29 PM
They're probably gonna do the same thing ford did with the mustake... flood the marked with 6 cylinder versions..this really just takes away from the classic muscle car IMO
8/8/2006 2:03:23 AM
well we do live in the present, not the classic era
8/8/2006 7:26:42 AM
8/8/2006 7:45:04 AM
Expect a taller roofline and shittier wheels. Otherwise what you see is probably what you'll get.
8/8/2006 8:08:40 PM
anybody else think the side mirrors are a lil funky ?
8/8/2006 8:25:39 PM
3 dollar gas= BRING BACK THE MUSCLE CARS!!!way to be 3 steps behind as usual GM
8/8/2006 8:31:00 PM
8/8/2006 10:08:43 PM
^^ don't worry. the new camaro will get ~25 mpg.
8/9/2006 12:35:08 AM
8/9/2006 1:15:33 AM
^^ maybe if it does that shit the impala does and turns in to a 4 cylinder when not going fast
8/9/2006 3:43:13 AM
^Yes it has cylinder deactivation on the V-8s. The Corvette Z06 gets like 27 mpg on the highway, so if this isn't tuned up as high, we could possibly see 30 mpg. In fact thats the rumor that is going around, that it gets 30+. ^^And yes, thats just the concept they unveiled first of the year. The real production model has not been seen yet. And of course things are exaggerated on the concept cars. I would be surprised if the production model came with 22's on the back and 21's on the front standard.
8/9/2006 9:26:06 AM
eh, I might get one. Have to see about the price and all that other stuff.
8/9/2006 1:46:37 PM
Chevy ftw fugly....
8/9/2006 5:57:10 PM
I think I'd like it more if I saw a couple light chrome accents, and a chrome grill. That grill just doesn't look good as is. Looks cheap and plastic... I guess it is cheap and plastic.

8/10/2006 2:45:11 PM
i actually like it and i've never been a fan of camaros
8/10/2006 3:00:20 PM
This seals the deal. I am stopping working on mine immediately and will begin putting money aside to buy one of these. In fact, somebody pointed out a great idea for Chevy would be to let customers start an account at their local dealership and make payments in advance to start saving up for the car, and pay interest on the money that is put in. I'd love if they did that!
8/10/2006 4:49:13 PM
Those pics look good.I love the Ford/Chevy debate going on in the story comments though."Ohhh by the time this hits, the redesigned mustang will be out and the camaro and challenger will be left in the dust".Whatever dude. Everyone who wants to buy a new mustang already has.
8/10/2006 5:33:53 PM
