old thread was dead:http://www.thewolfweb.com/message_topic.aspx?topic=384487what's the scene like in raleigh now? i bought a new Giant Trance 4 today. the shop had already upgraded to brakes to avid discs, and i got a credit on the pedals (l like times rather than the spd's that come with the bike). i swapped the bargain basement wheels with the mavic x317 wheels w/ xt hubs from my hardtail. tomorrow i'm going to shorten the bars a little bit and it will be good to go. its my first full suspension, i'm looking foward to breaking it in. i was anti-full suspension for a long time, but my bones are getting tired of shaking.

A good bike seems essential to a fun experience. I've been happy with my Raleigh Ram 3.0, but will be looking to upgrade soon. So much for this being a cheap hobby...Ahmet

it's not cheap, i had to get out of it before cause i was always breakin shit. the better you get the more shit you'll break. doesn't seem that way but it's true.
