I'm building a conroe system but my proc was delayed, plus i'll need to update the bios on my new Asus board.

does anyone have a cheap 775 celery or other proc, they can either let me buy or rent?

You can get an 805D for like $100, leaving you with a fast enough computer to cancel your Conroe order and wait until they drop in price a little bit.

i don't think they are expensive considering how much ass they whup. Sinking 100 in when it's only 250 more isnt much sense. Mine was a preorder, 350 shipped for an E6600 that tops everything currently out. And that's before overclocking...

I just wanted to be able to update my bios, assemble my system and test before conroe, which won't ship til 8/7 everyone just found out today.

yeah seriously, conroe pretty much makes a mockery of all pentium d's no matter how much you OC it
