you're crazy dude.

Colts don't make it to the AFC championship. They barely make the playoffs this year.

And KC has too many holes in defense to go in a 2 seed.

My heart wants to believe the Raiders will sneak into a wild card spot, but my head disagrees.

It's no way KC Chiefs are going to be a 2 seed, and I don't think Dallas is going to be as good as everyone thinks this year (even with the addition of TO)

I would personally look out for the Arizona Cardinals and Miami Dolphins this year, I mean, I'm not saying they're a legit playoff contender, but they have the capabilities to put some costly L's on big dawgs like Carolina and Indy.

The Super Bowl will be up for grabs to the following teams (in my opinion)

Carolina Panthers, Indy Colts, NE Patriots, Seattle Seahawks, Pitt Steelers...

if Miami gets even decent QB production, they'll win the AFC east. Chambers was great last year, but you didn't hear much about him, and they came on like a train @ the end of last year. Plus they've got a pretty tame schedule.

i think the cardinals will be decent, but not a playoff contending team for another year or two

^If i'm not mistaken, their O-line blows. They'll have to improve on that before they go anywhere. (but hopefully they'll beat Seattle at least once)

They got some stud receivers tho.

NFC:
Don't bank on Seattle, they have 2 "curses" working against them. The SB loser curse as well as the Madden cover curse with Alexander, haha. Plus the loss of Hutchinson will be huge to their left-side running game.

Chicago will win by default, that division isn't looking too good. I don't think Chicago will be as dominating on D as they were last year, and that O still has a ways to go. Look for Minny to compete.

Washington - iffy, even with the new recievers. The only reason I think they stand a decent chance at going far is the upgrade they made at OC. I'm just not sold on Brunell despite having a good year last year.

Giants - not sold. Burress has yet to live up to his expectations, and the rift with him and Eli isn't showing signs of closing up anytime soon. If Shockey can stay healthy and Barber can have a repeat performance(not sure he can) then they'll have a legitimate shot.

That division is stacked though, so I don't see 3 teams making it out of there. But if I had to pick 2 of the 4 teams I'd have to go with Dallas and Washington.

AFC:
Cincy is a big question mark to me as well. I mean despite last year's performance, I'm not sold on this D. They were a menace last year creating numerous turnovers, but a D like that lives and dies by turnovers, and I'll be suprised if they repeat last year's performance. I believe Palmer will make a good recovery and that offense will be as good as they were last year. But the off-field issues are adding up and it has to be taking a toll on the team.

Indy - how bad will losing Edge hurt? Until Addai or Rhodes can show teams that they can be effective premier backs, teams won't respect the run and they will be running with a lot of DB's. Plus I think Indy was exposed at the end of the year last year. The way to beat Manning isn't to try to cover all the recievers, that doesn't work well. The way to beat Manning is to get after him and keep putting him on his back(see Pitt and SD last year).

KC - team has all the pieces to have a successful season. Now the only catch is, they have to stay healthy. If Holmes doesn't come back, there really is not much of a back-up for LJ. Now I have all types of faith in LJ's ability, but I think he'll get worn down if he runs like he did last year. Plus the health of the OL is going to be a big issue, especially with that OL. The addition of Ty Law helps the D, and Herm Edwards is a pretty good coach. But look for the changing of the guard at OC to really have an impact.

SD - one of the more interesting teams to look at. On paper they look like they could be major contenders. But it'll all come down to the play of that defense and our boy Rivers. I believe Rivers has the talent and leadership factor that could make him a great one, but I'm worried that with all of this pressure and the time off he had, that he's being setup for failure. They handed him a playoff caliber team, in a division with 2 playoff caliber teams, and they expect him to step in and win.

I'm not going to solidify the post-season outlook just yet, I'm going to need to see some specific pre-season games.

Carolina - need to see the RB situation and Jenkin's health.
Pitt - need to see Big Ben's health and see how that running game is going to shape up.
Dallas - need to see TO work with Bledsoe a bit, and see how Julius Jones is looking.
Denver - need to see which Jake shows up to play this year.

Plus there is going to be a suprise team pop-up, and I doubt it'll be Arizona(OL problems will limit that offense) but Miami may be a possibility if Culpepper can come back 100%.

I predict Scoop Jackson will write more horrible columns like his latest one:

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=jackson/060725

This is completely atrocious. And what piece of shit editor gave this the green light? I'm foregoing my final year of college to take a job writing for ESPN Page 2. Clearly they hire people right off the street.

Perhaps this isn't the appropriate thread for this post. Maybe we need a thread dedicated to the shittiness of Scoop.

The Cowboys will finish with a worse record than Philly.

Drew Brees will be lining up in front of Deuce McAllister most of this season - the regular season, that is. He'll be playing golf during the postseason.

Mike Vick will get daily reacharounds from ESPN and certain posters on here, no matter how many times he overthrows a wide-open WR.

Nevertheless, the Falcons will AGAIN fail to make the playoffs.

k-rob will blow up for 1200 yards in 10 games and then get caught with smoot on a boatload of coke

fortunately for the vikings it only takes 10 games to lock up the nfc north

What are you smoking?

The NFC East is still a 3-team race with Dallas, NY, and Washington.

McNabb is getting more fragile and still has NOBODY to throw to.

mcnabb has only had someone to throw to for 1 1/2 seasons

hasn't stopped him before

also consider that the eagles are going to be more dedicated to the run this year (yeah, as if it could get worse... but still)

Is Kellen Winslow back this year? If so, the media has been pretty quiet about him.

AFC

1. Indianapolis
2. Cincinnatti
3. New England
4. San Diego

Wild card

5. Denver
6. Jacksonville

NFC

1. Chicago
2. Dallas
3. Carolina
4. Seattle

Wild Card

5. New York
6. Tampa Bay

From there? What the hell, these are unofficial, right? Chicago over Denver in the Super Bowl.

I'm working on my uninformed NFL preview right now, but am only 2 divisions into it with a third one being done later today. http://www.rosswhite.com/ben to check it out. I did this two years ago and nailed the AFC playoff lineup(but blew the actual playoff games). My NFC was, um, wrong.

I've talked it over with myself. Miami was too good at the end of last season. New England misses the playoffs and Miami wins the AFC East. I'd have edited, but TWW's 30-minute rule sucks.
